Sorry, you're simply wrong. Height might not be a factor if he had a high release, but he throws slightly sidearm dropping his release point. His mechanics aren't "sharp" they need work, his arm strength isn't "very good" but it could be called "adequate" As to his accuracy, it depends on where you draw the line, on the longer intermediate routes and the deep routes he has spotty at best accuracy. I don't doubt that some of his supporters would blame his woes on others, but I've seen him just straight up miss on WAY too many passes to blame it on others. He's a decent, but flawed prospect.
That and their route progressions go from short to deep. When his deep route is his 1st or 2nd read he hits it beautifully, however when it is last read, he often times won't the time to set his feet will throw the ball to a spot. If he had Bama's or A & M's line, no one would be questioning his deepball
If you could put Teddy's brain in Bortles' body with Bortles' personality then the resulting player would be the unquestioned best pick in the draft.
His mechanics are very clean and crisps, its his throwing motion that needs changed His arm strength is good-very good 35+ yards is the only time he "struggles" He hit 71% of his passes for a 31:4 td:int ration
His lower body mechanics are as sharp as any QB prospect that has come out in some time. Better than Lucks. His accuracy is great from 0-20 and drops off on deep balls. His inaccuracy on deep balls is actually average compared to his peers.
Wouldn't even want that Bridgewater has a stronger arm while still short arming his throws Imagine what refined a throwing motion, him finally understanding how to put his whole body into throws and a weight gain can do. Bridgewater's personality is not an issue at all. His teammates gravitated towards him, they will love him in an NFL locker room.
I mean, that's part of it, yeah. He's not going to be durable, he doesn't have the personality of an on field leader and he'll no longer be playing weak competition. When he was the big fish in the mud puddle at Louisville, the fact that he was simply better than everyone gave him the respect of his peers, that won't be the case in the NFL. I mean, maybe if he gets drafted to the right team he could end up being Alex Smith, but that's pretty much his ceiling due to his physical shortcomings.

The obvious pick would be Clowney, but there are about 6 or 7 prospects better than ANY QB in this class.

I think Teddy's stock took a hit last week at the combine by not running. I think it will go back up if he has a strong pro-day along with these Parcells comments. My next question Bobby, is that when the Texans take Bridgewater, are you going to support him as a fan, or follow where Clowney lands?
I was a day one Texans fan, I don't see that changing since the only team I've dumped was the Astros and I don't see the Texans getting forced into playing Arena Football any time soon. If the Texans pick Bridgewater, I'll hope to be wrong about him and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but my expectations for the team will be very low for the next several years. Well yeah, and I think the biggest need on the Texans is addressing the pass rush so that they aren't completely reliant on JJ Watt or a blitz on every down to pressure opposing QB's.
