Do you have any proof that Obama directed these efforts?

Of course not, biased partisans will be biased.

Actually, my mistake. I thought the investigation by the CIA's IG was explicitly over the alleged spying. It turns out that is not the case and that the CIA is denying they spied on members of Congress.

Let us see what is discovered. Hopefully it doesn't just get swept under the rug and forgotten.

    Not surprised

I mean when we have good Americans like Allen West accusing up to 80 democrats in the house of being members of the communist party, is it any wonder the CIA is spying on congress?

You come into one of these threads, read the text and start skimming through the comments. Then, like a massive train wreck, you see how a few kids can mess up a simple thread.

Don't get me wrong -- I think that the CIA and FBI spying on members of congress has probably been happening for decades. But, if it were to be confirmed it would be a big deal (or, at least it should be). Don't you think?

You COULD make this case, but you would have to show that the CIA was doing so on the orders of the American people or their representatives.

If the CIA is randomly deciding what they think is in the interest of Americans, then someone should be spying on them too (see how this cycle is a problem?).

Exactly. Is this big news? The CIA can, at any given time, leak acquired or manufactured information anonymously to make a member of congress lose all their power.

Another salvo in the war over who can be the most outrageously hypocritical douchecanoe.

Seriously, Feinstein is taking the "Merkel Effect" to new and jaw-dropping levels of wtf. Twould be amusing if not so awful in practice.
