I guess both Judges have blinders on too. When Crane supporters consistently lead with Crane has to get AL West money, they don't realize both judges slapped those blinders off their head . Let Crane go get a betamax camcorder and start up his own network if he doesn't want to act in the best interest of a Network. Crane acted in the best interest of the Astros when he negotiated the media rights deal. You were foolishly misled by "experts" who convinced you that a bankruptcy court would give a damn about the margin of profit for the Network I called this key point out early on. I don't even like Comcast, like Judge Hughes said the Astros never asked for or were guaranteed that the Network would be profitable. so no I don't stand behind a guy who says Comcast has a lot of money so therefore they should give me my AL West money. The same guy who dreamed up a lawsuit that a Judge purposely used the term manure to describe and said was an irrational approach. Keep on thinking someone else has blinders on.
I average ten posts a year. Wanted to make sure I used one of them to state that Granville is as delusional and annoying as all the LOF in the GARM.
This part confuses me. I don't recall anyone discussing that or saying that would be a huge deal to the judge. I thought the case would be dismissed because it didn't meet the technical requirements of an involuntary bankruptcy. On the day of the hearing, Rocketball and its affiliates joined the case as creditors. I still believe that had that not happened, the case would have been dismissed at that point. And I think that would have been the best outcome, honestly, for the teams I care about. I don't give a lick about Comcast...but I do care about the Rockets and Astros.
Funny everybody is still up in arms about Crane, even though he's basically suggesting to get this thing resolved with one of the only realistic possibilities out there (a buyout). I recall the Rockets last statement being pretty hostile to the whole situation, how they likely would not relinquish their voting rights, how there was nothing but crappy deals out there, and how they would litigate this thing forever (if they could) in order to ensure they're taken care of financially. If Crane had issued the above statement now, he'd be publicly executed. Instead, he says that he expects a buyout, or Comcast to come in with another bailout (all expected), and he's still publicly executed by a select uninformed few. The Rockets and Astros are more and more on the same page with each passing day... as they continue to realize that Comcast doesn't "have to" have the same sense of urgency to get this channel on to widespread distribution.
You can continue to show your blinders. You hate Jim Crane, so you twist everything to be negative regarding Crane, while ignoring reasoning, and the negative comments made in regards to Comcast by the court. The lawsuit by Crane wasn't dreamed up. He had a deadline to file litigation, and so he did. That is not unusual. Nobody has said a judge would care about the amount of profit margin. Nobody has said the court would require the Astros get AL West money. Jim Crane badmouthed Comcast, who has managed a company into bankruptcy. They were supposed to be the experts, but they have been shown to either by liars, or incompetent in that regard. Of course, I can't get offer the conflict of interest associated with having Comcast run the company, when they are guaranteed the lowest base rate of any distributor.
I was aware of that 1 thing Judge Isgur said that was wiped out by the Judge saying he had concerns about Crane wanting the Network to fail and that Crane had a responsibility to his partners and turning banktuptcy court on it's ear. Had no idea what Judge Isner said.... Thanks for sharing
No, I'd say that you ignore the the quantity and severity of the comments directed at your hero and try foolishly to compare that to comments you think make Comcast look bad. The lawsuit was called **** and an irrational approach by the judge, quit being stubborn and concede the point. Jim Crane has brought it up multiple times that the Astros need the money to compete and so have defenders of Crane. The profit margin and AL West money are the same thing, no use in separating them in to 2 points. Crane thinks he needs AL West money to compete. The Court thinks that he will kill deals until he gets what he thinks is fair. The Court only cares about making CSN H profitable so it can survive not what Crane thinks is fair. Jim Crane thinks Comcast should just give him his AL West money profits be damned. That isn't how the business world works.
Bahaha. Granville you act like we haven't seen this from you before. In the TM thread you were an expert on evidence, a seasoned veteran in the field of criminal law. And in this thread you are an expert in bankruptcy law. You are an impressive individual.
Is it your mission to act like you know me? I am responding in the same manner that I am being responded to.
