Spoiler Aren't you a peculiar one? I'll just laugh at your stupidity instead of arguing with you beyond this post. I'm not the one with numerous posts in the "Jeremy Lin is a Joke thread" I just do not like player bashing. And please point me to the "Harden Sucks" thread or "Beverly is Thrash" thread that is pages long and still gets hits. Lin may be a polarizing figure but he is still a rocket and I do not appreciate posters hating on a rocket. And please don't group me into some category, i don't play those childish fanboy games son.
R u kidding, his jump shot barely ever came... And he was much more frustrating because he was our starting pg
can anyone give me an objective summary of how Lin played today? I was only able to catch a few minutes of the second, and the part I caught he looked like he was doing alright. His shot wasn't falling but he was attacking aggressively, which is a nice change-up from his passive play of late.
Lin needs to get out of this mental slump....we need him to fire up since our bench is very weak at the moment. Also Monti is slumping in the past 2 games
He played poorly. I think his back is hindering his game, he isn't attacking the hoop like he used to and is missing bunnies when he does attack. I think he needs to be more aggressive when he is playing with chandler and the bench guys. He has the capacity to be a good scorer but he plays to passive and that just hurts him.
No, he was not good... still a little hesitant, not commanding the floor... That being said, Lin will be fine... damn, he struggles big time right now...
Something has to be wrong. He's getting no lift on his jump. What used to be lay up attempts are now kick out or wrap around to the lost post attempts. His take off look like he's going for horizontal distance as opposed to vertical distance. He's still giving good effort on the defensive end and if it weren't for the toughest part of our schedule, I would advocate shutting him down for a week or two. But man, is he playing like **** offensively.
Well, Rafer DID play good defense. And he did limit turnovers. And he could dribble with his left hand. And he hit a higher % of his 3s than Lin has with the Rockets. He had Ricky Rubio disease from inside the arc and he shot that terrible floater that never went in, but he had his strengths. Just so we're clear, since the ASB Lin is shooting 29% from the field, and has a 23-21 assist-to-turnover ratio. Hard to imagine Canaan doing worse than that. If the problem is Lin's health, he should be sitting. He's hurting the team.
Did it seem like he was more confident in his attacking? He was moving well for the few minutes I watched and he did attack the rim (although he wasn't as effective as he was pre-ASG) In previous games, he was basically watching the ball on offense and/or deferring to Parsons/Harden without even looking for his own drives. I'm less worried about his finishing right now and more on his desire to be aggressive.
mental or physical, it relates... Lin usually is a very confident player, hard charging, hustle player... he definitely is not right right now....
i think if aaron were still in the team, coaches probably would have rested Lin... Cannan is still unproven
just not the same, i think he could not do a lot of things he wanted with the injury... it is more discouraging than the shooting slump, actually he blogged it in his website that there are few things more discouraging than the shooting slump...I think he refers to the injury.
Lin was a lot more aggressive tonight. His shots weren't falling and he had his usual boneheaded to's but at least tonight he looked like he was trying to break out of his slump. Past few games it just looked like he gave up. Don't worry everyone he'll bounce back
Time to sit Jeremy. He is obviously playing injured which may seem heroic, but he is hurting the team and tarnishing his reputation. Give Cannon some burn. Maybe Daniels could just take it to the three point line and shoot. Something. Need plan B now, right now. Enough.
