"I didn't find it very funny" should have told you all you needed to know about me getting "the point." It was lame, sorry.

Meh, it's just one guy's opinion. What does it matter? I thought it was great though.

It isn't mocking the show, it is mocking the overly obsessive fans looking for signs in the most ridiculous of places... rather than just enjoying the show for what it is. Eight episodes of awesomeness. It is supposed to be stupid, that is the point.

Remember, just a few weeks ago - many (maybe even most) thought that Rust or Marty were in on it because of some obscure camera shot or off the cuff comment.

    Indeed he did.

May be stating the obvious, but Hart's father in law certainly has to play a part in this...they have just focused too much on his daughter and her character (drawings, action figures, hooking up with guys, stars on the eyes of the painting) as a potential molestation victim (similar to what happened to the transvestite kid). I don't see why they would keep focusing on her and showing those clues if she wasn't a victim. Since Hart never stated that she went to a "Tuttle School", the connection would need to be the father-in-law. Why else would they feature him earlier? It seems like they only show people for reasons told later and I can't figure out why they would have introduced that character at all.

Doubt he is the yellow king but possibly one of the five animal masked dudes?

I do think Harts daughter has seen the Yellow King from the drawings. I don't see any reason to think Marty's father in law is involved.

At the risk of sounding like one of the dudes who is reading too much into this, I keep honing in on Maggie:

Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't think Maggie killed anyone or some such thing.

But Audrey Hart (daughter) was most certainly a victim of abuse at the hands of this cult (the pictures she drew at school; the dolls she arranged; her artwork involving yellow hair and black stars; her seeking-out of hurtful sexual situations).

Let's not be stunned when Audrey's artwork turns out to be all Carcosa jacked-up strange.

Now, why did Maggie throw herself at Rust? Why not just get a divorce, plain and simple? She had grounds for it. Didn't need to involve Rust. But when she did involve Rust, notice how the investigation blew up along with the tenuous friendship of its two leads.

Maggie knows something and is protecting someone. Her daughter, who could be humiliated or even suffer reprisal at the hands of the Yellow King's cult? Maybe her family is involved?

How much Marty suspects or knows is up for grabs. He certainly acted like someone walking out toward the guillotine.

She threw herself at him for a clean break, something she knew Marty couldn't, and wouldn't want to, "undo."

She might know something, but that isn't evidence of it, I don't think, since it was pretty straightforward what was going on with her and why she went to such an extreme if you want to call it that.
