For 3 minutes. Lin, Dmo, Garcia, Casspi are completelly useless. This will definitelly hurt come playoff time. Are there any viable solutions in sight?
Definitely feeling that way right now. Our starters will be worn out before we'd make it past the first round at this rate.
Yeah, he's getting pick-up bad. Pisses me off just looking at his "what happened" face every time he f's up.
It starts with Lin, he needs to play smarter. He is the leader for the 2nd unit and actually be capable enough to bring the ball up the court.
And one last thing, Asik needs to dunk the damn ball...someone (not named McHale) needs to demand that he do that. He misses more point blank layups than my 2 year old in his mini hoop!
So much anger over a blowout. LOL Asik +7 Lin +5 Nah...I don't want to argue with you. They haven't played well, but not the way you THINK.
Asik looks like hes playing in mud out there. I am not sure what it is, but the defense and the overall IQ of the 2nd unit is just not there right now. It is very worrisome and they at least need to be able to maintain a lead in order for us beat these other teams with depth
Don't worry guys we are getting closer to championship time because the last step for our team is realizing Lin is trash and getting rid of him. After that we get a few Beverley types on the bench with a shooter or two and we are set. As a organization we just need to realize Lin is fool's gold under playoff pressure and towards the end of a 82 game season his body isn't durable enough to last.
And is this the Orlando game in Dec 2013? Coz Garcia didn't play today and Casspi played the last 2 min of garbage time.
our bench just isn't that good. dmo is pretty solid, but that's about it. lin is playing terrible. how many times a game does he cause a turnover by jumping in air with the ball and having no idea where he's going with it? that's day one stuff. edit: i thought it was a given that asik is a good player.
Asik is an amazing defender. I like what he brings...don't know what you guys are complaining about. He'll get conditioned as time comes. He helps us while he's out there and it is pretty obvious.
3 guys coming off the bench that started for us last year in Asik, Lin, and D. Mo. 2 of those guys started the whole year. This is the best they can do? Harden and Parsons must really be that good since we were fooled into thinking these guys were starting caliber NBA players. They are getting worked and getting their asses handed to them on a nightly basis by every 2nd unit they run into. They should be the ones handing out the beat downs if they are really starters in this league like they feel they are. It is past time that they start proving it on the court. No way in hell should true starters be getting drubbed by bench guys on a nightly basis. No freaking way. It doesn't matter who else is in the game with them. Asik and Lin at the very least should be putting in work.
I thought Asik looked OK. He had 8 rebounds in 15 minutes. If you expect him to provide offense, then you will be disappointed. Offense is not his thing and it never will be.
Sorry bro, there is no Way we can get rid of Lin,no one will Pay him 15 mil. for one Season,he is trash We are stuck with him
Set defense... they have the best backup defense in the league with Asik & D-Mo all over the glass. Turn the ball over, and give the other team easy buckets....... you don't get to use your #1 weapon to sustain and extend leads. Its a simple as that folks. This squad does not need to play frantic and out of control driving to the lane against 3 defenders. It needs a PG who can clean up the game. Lin is much more useful in a small spread offense where he can play at a frantic pace. He needs to adjust his play to sustain leads, not try and drop 30 in 5 minutes by playing Helter Skelter basketball. In the 2nd quarter, Parsons did a great job facilitating the offense as the unofficial PG. My guess is McHale tries harder to instruct the gameplay to put the ball in Parson's hands more to facilitate to help clean up the turnovers.
This is true I suppose. He is out there to rebound and play defense. Any scoring he does is gravy and other people on the floor with him are expecting him to catch the same type of passes that Dwight can grab. So frustrating to watch this one player in particular try to throw tough lob passes or passes in heavily congested areas to Asik over and over again when everybody in Houston and Chicago knows that there is a very slight chance that he will be able to catch these types of passes thus making them low percentage plays.
