Bev is EASILY my favorite player on this squad, but I'm one who was in favor of Lin starting. I thought he and Harden could ultimately co-exist, and I thought Bev's style of play was more suited to limited minutes off the bench. I still do, honestly. But I'm sold on him as the starter at this point. I feel comfortable when he has the ball in his hands, and I never worry that he will shrink from the moment, no matter how big it is or who he's up against. You need fearlessness like that in the postseason.

Lin is playing scared and stupid now. Disappointing really. He's definitely going to be shipped out after next year.

Beverley's emergence of being a legitimate three point threat is pretty amazing. Just makes his fit as a starter even better.

I wish he could be shipped out, but it looks like Morey finally has a dud he is stuck with. He is going to have to have an amazing run in the playoffs for him to have any potential trade value.

As I clicked on this thread I was thinking, "Why hasn't someone killed this already?"

    Then I see your post.

Hahah P.Bev was running his mouth the whole game to the Heats and Spoel had to sub Cole out before he did "something stupid"

Good job by Pbat to come up big. Lets hope Lin's gets his back healthy and goes on a roll too. The guy was playing well before all star break.

    Guys,

we saw our closing lineup tonight. This is how we are going to have to roll if we are going to win a ring.

    Bev
    Lin
    Parsons
    Dwight
    Harden

This team is so much better defensively (and offensively) when we move Harden up front and let him guard bigger guys and we get Beverley, Lin, Parsons, and Hamilton scrambling on the perimeter.

While Beverley is the best option starting at point guard alongside Harden..... Bev/Lin/Harden/Parsons around Dwight is the best option for finishing games.

Despite the amazing win, I was really disappointed in how little we got from Jones/Motiejunas. We may very well trot that out as our starting lineup in the playoffs (Parsons at 4).

this reminds me of the move when we took Chucky Brown out of the lineup and went with a smaller lineup. But in doing this, we take away the need for Harden to guard a player at the top of the key in crunch time. As long as Howard can protect the paint and Parsons show a better job of boxing out power forwards, this may just work.

Parson is too small and did you see how much trouble he was having? He was so tired.

I seriously doubt McHale changes the starting lineup at this point. I think he keeps the starting lineup the same. He'll use Jones situationally to steal minutes and fouls from other players. But in the end, Jones' minutes are going to be cut and Lin and Hamilton's minutes are going to be increased.

Yeah, he's too small and Harden is too small. But you know what....that's how we dug out of a hole and won this game. This was a playoff style game tonight. If we meet Portland in the playoffs this is how we're gonna have to play to beat them.
