This was an amazing game start to finish. I can't believe how far this team has come this season. A couple months ago we would've had no chance beating the heat, but our chemistry has developed as a team and our starters were just clicking. Of course it would be nice if we could have a better effort from the bench, but a win is a win. Everyone in Houston should be ecstatic right now... I know I am.

Got to get that gif of the "People elbow" by Dwight Howard that clocked James on the jaw...im sure that one's gonna hurt a bit tom...

Say what you wanna say about Back to back etc "BSPN"...The Rockets were able to be a full strength Heat team with terrific team defense in the 3rd and 4th quarter...If they can cut back on Turnover's, the Rockets actually have a chance to be a pretty darn good team.

The Rockets have the tools to matchup with Heat. The Miami Bench isnt ever gonna be this hot...and same with the Rockets bench being this ice cold from the floor. Good start to a brutal stretch of games..Go Rockets

Here's what I need to understand. On that last play where harden turned over, what was Mchale telling them? Did he reiterate the fact we had timeouts in case we got stuck, or how not to look for Howard?
Or did harden actually just make that stupid of a play?

Great game either way. Love the win. Hate that we can't play 48 minutes of smart basketball. But I'll take it

"James had 22 points, one night after setting a club record with a career-best 61 against Charlotte. He acknowledged before the game that he was ''extremely tired'' and that he spent most of the day sleeping"

I'm surprise Mchale played Lin tonight over Canaan. I heard his back is killing him. For the next 20 games, Lin should not drive to the basket unless it's wide open. His minutes should also be limited to under 20 minutes. Why not give some of those minutes to Canaan, Mchale? I rather have a healthy Jeremy Lin ready for the playoff than an injured Jeremy Lin. He missed so many playoff games due to injury and unable to go all out. Just once, Jeremy, play it safe and then go all out in the playoff.

Amazing the excuses the media are coming up with. Did you ever hear Jordan come out and say, 'Yeah I was tired from yesterday' ?

Miami never once had the lead but the entire sportscenter recap was Miami heat players scoring with 2 harden plays mixed in. Good job ESPN.

Excuses and hubris. The Heat didn't need LeBron's 61 points to win yesterday. Should have rested him.

When we lost to the clippers you heard no one in the national media giving us excuses like it was our 4th gamr in 5 nights.

Rockets played the Clippers on the 2nd night of a B2B against a well rested Clippers squad... don't remember anyone in the national media mentioning that when they pulled away late against a tired rockets squad.

    http://blogs.herald.com/miami_heat/...d-other-stuff-about-the-rockets-excitabl.html

Beverley was jawing with the Heat's players pretty much every second he was on the court, which was exactly 1,972 seconds. At one point, it appeared like Heat coach Erik Spoelstra subbed Cole out of the game so Cole wouldn't completely lose his mind and do something stupid. Cole might be the most level-headed player in the NBA, by the way.

After the halftime buzzer, Udonis Haslem walked over to Beverley for a brief conversation. I asked Haslem about that conversation...

"I was just giving him a hard time," Haslem said. "It was nothing serious. I just told him to stop talking crap and looking over at our bench. I know Pat. I think he the spent the summer with us. He's a hard-nosed kid, a real competitor, and I respect the road that he took and the success that he had, but he was just doing a lot of yapping and I told him to stop looking at our bench and talking crap.

"It wasn't nothing personal. I got a lot of love for Pat Beverley, but he was just looking over at our bench and talking and he's always got something to say. We're cool off the court, but in between the lines, I don't like it.

"You play against a team that you worked out for, or you felt like you should have been there, or they made a mistake by letting you go, you try to prove something. And I guess he came out tonight with a chip on his shoulder."

Something tells me that's pretty much every night in the life of Pat Beverley.

Maybe you haven't heard, but Miami is the 2 time defending champion. I'm not sure what you expect.

Bev is one of my favorite players in the league, it's hard not to root for this guy. I love how he plays with a chip on his shoulder, always trying to prove a point to those who counted him out. awesome man, awesome
