I have mentioned this before. WB becomes a free agent one year before Durant, and I think he will leave because he will be worried that Durant will leave the following year and he'll be stuck on a bad team. Then Durant will leave because WB will already be gone. One possible solution to this impending disaster is for the Thunder to trade WB this offseason for a guy on a long term deal in the hopes of convincing Durant to stay.
Said it before and will say it again: WB was playing the best ball of his career before leaving in December. OKC's main problem now is defensive chemistry and intensity without both Perkins and Thabo. If they figure that out in the next 20 games, the West is over. Still a ways to go though.
When was this thread made? After his first game back? lol A lot of yall just regurgitate what you hear on sports shows. Anybody that thinks thunder are a better team w/o WB doesn't understand his importance, and how great of a player he is.
He could do this every night if he played with a true point guard mind set which it appears he's starting to do. I believe the Thunder reeled him in and got him on track since I started this thread. They saw the same concerning things I saw and Westbrick was put in his place. Thunder will be coming out of the west for sure if he continues to play this way, like a true PG, triple double machine.
Why did no one tell you were wrong about their free agency the first time? Durant 2016, Westbrook 2017
Westbrook is Wade 2.0.. When the Rox played Miami last night I was still so impressed with Wade's athleticism.
You are correct, I got them reversed. This is even worse for the Thunder. WB will leave to be the alpha dog, and Durant won't stick around the following year if that happens.
The point is the same regardless of which becomes a FA first. Why would Durant or WB sign an extension unless they were 100 percent positive that the other was going to stick around the following year? See what I mean, it doesn't matter which of them because a FA first, it only matters that one becomes a FA a year before the other.
I love ya, Raven, and I agree that either/both leaving is very likely, but the continued error made me chuckle.
Did you just make up an entire scenario in which you didn't have to admit you were wrong?? What on Earth suggests that they "saw what you saw" and put him in his place? Why can't you just admit when you're wrong, and say that you jumped the gun on your knee-jerk thread?
There's just no denying it, most of the time he hurts their team even though every once in a while he'll be amazing.
He's just a weird interesting player . Makes an amazing dunk & gets the ball Air ball instead of driving it . Then another three pointer .
