Nowhere have I ever suggested that you aren't good at what you do for a living. Now you have done that to me even though you do not know me and are not familiar with my work.

I am finished with you. So, now officially, go blow it out your ass.

You have been a dick to me since the TM thread. I have asked you multiple times to cut the personal stuff out and you continued to do it. So I gave it right back to you.

I like how there are rivalries between posters on different boards.

Basso+ BigTexxx v Everyone else on the DnD
    Remii V Bobbythegreat on Texans
Refman V Granville here on the Astros
LOF v HOF v DHoF v POF V TOF v YOF on the GARM.

    Its riveting.

I realize it's an instinct to defend yourself , but the entertainment value is on the level of a turtle race. Don't get me wrong, turtle races do have a place in a civilized society, but they are generally confined to the owners and caretakers of the turtles. If you boys want to make it interesting for the rest of the spectators you should arrange a contest of some sort and allow the clutch fan community to attend.

Otherwise take it elsewhere and stick to the subject at hand, because this bs has gotten out of hand.

    Just sayin

    Yeah, actual updates. I'm stunned.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Crane says streaming games still a hope of his. Has not talked to Comcast about it</p>&mdash; Evan Drellich (@EvanDrellich) <a href="https://twitter.com/EvanDrellich/statuses/440907933397028864">March 4, 2014</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Crane expects Comcast offer coming soon. “We think Comcast is going to make an offer to either lend the network some more money … &quot;</p>&mdash; Evan Drellich (@EvanDrellich) <a href="https://twitter.com/EvanDrellich/statuses/440911037744021504">March 4, 2014</a></blockquote>

Well, not sure if these could really be updates, but it's better than that one guy who's hell-bent on single-handedly moving this thread to the D&D.

    http://blog.chron.com/ultimateastro...ffer-to-purchase-bigger-share-of-csn-houston/

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Astros owner Jim Crane said Tuesday he expects an offer from Comcast this week to either buy more of Comcast Sports Net Houston, the troubled regional sports network, or to lend it more money.

The Astros, Rockets and Comcast are part owners of the network, which is in bankruptcy proceedings.

“Last I heard there was supposed to be something coming down this week on an offer,” Crane said. “From our knowledge, we think Comcast is going to make an offer to either lend the network some more money to proceed, or put an offer out to both teams.”

Crane described Comcast as the “800-pound gorilla in the room.” Comcast recently bought Time Warner Cable for $45.2 billion in stock.

“The system’s broke … with the Time Warner purchase, they’ll be a $100 billion company,” Crane said. “It baffles me that they can’t figure out how to get a $140 or a $150 million revenue business working in one market, when they’ve done it every other market.”

CSN Houston, which carries Astros games, is available only to 40 percent of the television market in Houston. With opening day for the Astros in less than a month (at home on April 1 at 6:10 p.m. against the Yankees), Crane said he still has hope the team can find an alternative way for fans to watch telecasts.

“We’re still working with baseball and trying to look at an alternative to either stream the games in some form or fashion,” Crane said. “The way it’s set up right now, they still have our rights fees in the deal and we’re going to try to resolve something that will be able to stream the games or do something on a handheld, which is available and already being done.”

Major League Baseball Advanced Media, the parent company of MLB.com, sells an online package of streaming games, which can be accessed from a computer as well as portable devices, but local blackouts apply. Crane said lifting the blackouts could be possible.

“That’s a possibility too, where you could get the games, you get the package where you can watch all the games and you just lift the local blackouts and you have people pay for that on a local basis,” Crane said. “There’s three or four options and we really want the fans to see the games and leave this behind us.”

Crane said he has not discussed this matter with Comcast yet, but his goal is to have an alternate viewing method in place for opening day.

“That’s the goal, yeah,” Crane said. “We can do it (streaming) with them (MLB Advanced Media) and we can do it with Comcast.

“I haven’t run it by (Comcast) yet. Right now, they’re not really receptive to anything. But I think that would put a lot of pressure on them if that was the case. Listen, it’s been tough when you’ve got both teams in the cities not getting paid for their rights fees.”

Crane last year filed a lawsuit against former Astros owner Drayton McLane related to the struggling network’s sale when Crane bought the Astros.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes is overseeing the Astros’ bankruptcy case and expressed some displeasure that Crane had filed the lawsuit.

“I don’t know if it throws a monkey wrench into the gears,” Hughes said. “Maybe closer to manure in the gears. That is not a rational way to approach this.”

Asked about Hughes’ displeasure with the suit, Crane on Tuesday alluded to the necessity of the timing because of a provision in the contract between Crane’s Houston Baseball Partners and McLane’s McLane Champions Co. that required claims to be filed within two years of the deal closing.

“I think his opinion — and certainly he’s a federal judge and he’s very knowledgeable— is that (the suit) just kind of the muddied water,” Crane said. “But we were under a timetable where that would have expired. … The bottom line is we want to get a fair deal.”

It is so fun when posters come in and pretend they know more about your field than you do.

Actually, McClane lowered the sales price as well. It wasn't just the other owners kicking in money.

I was on that side for a while, but now I'm not. At the end of the day, a price of $680M had been established. They could have let the Astros stay in Drayton's hands, as he wasn't in any dire need to sell.

Screw Comcast and Crane. I'm missing one of the biggest games of the year for your fair deal. You are lower than pond scum.

Jim Crane is f'n delusional. Because Comcast has a lot of money they should just give it to him.

Cometswin delivers another worthless post. Typical

I have zero issues with Carl's thoughts on the situation since he isn't looking at this with Astros blinders on, he has been spot on

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out in the 2nd largest tv market with a team as popular as the Dodgers. Looks like it's getting ugly there too.

It's bad when Crane won't even let Dodgers fans watch there team. They aren't even in the same league. Come on Crane
