No doubt Houston has bad fans....it's fairly common to see people leave games early in all 3 sports here. But you're gonna sit there and compare a meaningless regular season game with Game 6 of the NBA Finals?? If that's not cherry-picking (and just overall asininity), then I don't know what is.

Also, on a side-note, the odds of ever seeing someone do what Tracy McGrady did in that game are astronomical.....literally probably once in a lifetime. I'm willing to bet that even Golden State fans would have left that game early. Stop trolling.

    Not trolling. Just giving facts.

Fact 1: Very few heat fans actually left game 6 early. The arena was still packed when Ray Allen hit that 3.

Fact 2: All fans leave early, doesn't matter the city. Tmac 13 in 33 is a perfect example. You like to think your city is better than others in fandom and that's normal competition/natural selection/nationalism at play in your brain, but in reality it's all the same.

Fact 3: Heat fans and Laker fans are the most annoying but all teams have the same amount of fair weather fans when the team starts winning.

Did you even read what I wrote?? IT'S GAME 6 OF THE NBA FINALS. Nobody is leaving that game early. Ticket prices alone are through the roof....most people aren't leaving until they absolutely have to. The Rockets-Spurs game was a middle-of-the-week regular season game that was a double-digit deficit inside of one minute to play. The odds of T-Mac doing what he did were once in a lifetime. Period.

Your second point isn't even talking to me. I AGREED that Houston has bad fans....I'm a season-ticket holder for the Texans, and have had season tickets for the Rockets on and off (mainly on) over the last 20+ years. I KNOW Houston sports fans, and I know Houston compared to other cities. Our fans suck compared to the likes of Seattle, Boston, and New York. But that still doesn't lend credence to the fact that you're using an apples to oranges comparison to try and make your point. It's completely disingenuous to paint the Houston sports landscape with a sweeping generality of being bad using the 13 in 33 game as the main crux of your argument.

Exactly, so you'd hope we learned our lesson. That's why I never leave games early -- regardless of what's going on.

    Lakers.

Miami fans begging to be let in was hilarious though.

When did I make any argument of anyone leaving early? That's not what makes Miami a ****ty sports city. Your excuses for why fans don't show up or don't care because there are other things to do or other places to watch the game is what I was pointing out. Stupid excuse. Case closed.

I don't think Miami has the cockiest fans, there are two subsets of Miami fans:

    1) Die Hard Miami fans
    2) Casual fans/bandwagoners (just became a fan cause they were the champs)

Miami's a chill place, most people just aren't that into b-ball so I don't think they're annoying, and I think everyone understands LBJ's the reason they're winning so they aren't as cocky.

If you want cocky/annoying fans, then you've gotta go to the Lakers, those guys expect a ring every year and is insulted when they have a trade that doesn't kill the other team (ie Gasol trade and Howard trade).

On realgm, many admit that got help from the refs last game. I think if the Rockets shut down guys like Beasley and continue what they did against Lebron and Wade, they have a better chance against the Heat in the Finals than just about any round against the Clips or OKC in the Playoffs.

I live in Miami , true it's awful. There are people here who still this wade is better than harden. They only show up when the team is good. That hoes for the Heat, Dolphins, Canes and Marlins (well they never show up for them)

It was a joy beating them yesterday. They have not heard the end of it.

This is a loaded question. "Cocky" and "worst" are two different categories for fans.
Miami has cocky fans, probably not the cockiest (Lakers), but in terms of "bad fans", they're better than Houston fans.

I'm a recently displaced Houston fan in Miami too. The fans here are loud, they are cocky, but they have the right to be. They're the defending champs, they've been to the finals in the last 3 years and a favorite for this year. Lebron is here. It's the perfect time to be cocky and it's a party when you attend home games.

In Houston, some people show up after half time, then some people leave before the 4th quarter end (more people than I've witnessed in Miami). There's empty seats all the time and even when everyone is in the stadium in the 3rd quarter, it's quiet. Other than the Rowdies, there's not much cheering.

Regardless, I'm a fan, because of the team and the organization, not because of the fan base. Which some of you can take example of.

You can't talk smack about Heat fans when Rockets fans can't even fill out the Toyota Center with us having one of our best seasons in a very long time.

We (Rockets fans) would be SOOOOO cocky if we had the best player in the world LeBron James on our team and just won back to back championships.
