well in this day and age, he plays the paint like that and really can continue to because of the lack of depth of great defensive centres. Not much double-teaming goes on like there use to be.

He's also extremely low this year in ISO defense.

Championing his defense won't be a good argument this year. Yes we know how good he is when he tries, but he just hasn't this season. Come playoffs, yes he will be way better than Durant on D, but this season that hasn't been the case.

 

LMAO then isn't this like when Dirk got crowned the MVP or when Robinson got the MVP or when DRose got the MVP? All 3 guys got clowned in the playoffs fine if you want an MVP that you know won't be the best player when it's go time then he's the MVP. So if you think Robinson deserved that MVP over Hakeem then yeah, I can see why you think Durant is the MVP.
