Didn't the same thing happen to his brother? I remember him broadcasting a game and saying something like "I thought they were going to bring me back but... apparently not."

What is it with the Barry family?

Yeah, I recall the same conversation. Something along the lines of "I was working on coming back from a knee injury. I thought I was going to make it back, but then Jeff Van Gundy told me my services were no longer required."

I really don't care if he hates a little. What I can't stand is his constant overanalyzing of the officiating. Dude must spend half an hour per telecast breaking down rather the last whistle was the right one. Save it for the tough calls, guy.

Jon Barry Alert: JB calling the Rockets game tonight. Might want to seek alternate broadcasting options (or take your significant others out for dinner and a movie)

Yup, he struggles. He brings very little of interest to any boradcast, especially in comparison to JVG or Webber.

Jon Barry is brutal to listen to. While we're at it, can we get rid of Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr as well?

The national broadcast teams are absolutely atrocious, except for a few.

Stand down rockets bros! I had the game wrong in my head. He is calling Bulls/Grizzlies tonight. Sorry about that!

Let your significant others know that dinner and a movie is now out of the question.

They learned it from their dad, one of the most disliked superstars in sports history, and who got fired from a broadcasting job for being too negative.

The problem is he came to the Rockets and shot 45% during one of the most exciting seasons we have had.

Plus we look after the Barry clan when their skills have diminished to the point no other team will have them. It is somewhat of a tradition they come here to suck.

I love your website and initiative though.
