I seem to be alone completely in this, but I still love this show. I know it's no Breaking Bad, but I still find it entertaining. There are plot holes, but I don't think about them, it's just entertainment.
The show's in a difficult spot, because you have a large segment of the fandom that just wants mindless zombie-killing action, and then you have the people, generally the show's detractors, who are hoping for character development, strong dialogue, and a coherent plot. And honestly, if it's the latter you're after, I have to wonder why you're still watching the show. It's pretty easy to understand the disappointment when an episode is light on action.
wth was that last episode? I streamed it skipped like 3/4s of it because I really didn't give a **** about just walking around in the woods and was hoping something would happen. I think this might be the most overrated show ever.
The material in this episode was not bad at all, but as a stand alone episode it was too little material for an hour. It's this type of stuff that should be paired with other story lines. All I could think about in this episode was: don't kiss.. don't kiss! DON'T KISS! I'm glad they didn't take it there because it felt like it was going in that direction, especially when it seemed the chick was trying to seduce Daryl with the drinking game.
This show is bad this season so far. Sad to say that Teen Wolf of all things has been more entertaining.
It's all leading up to Sanctuary. Everyone needs to chill the **** out and let things develop. The problem is the groups are scattered about so the storyline takes time to develop. At some point it will all diverge on one location, sanctuary. Prob would have been better to ignore certain factions and leave viewers to wonder and have one group to which we watch make their way to sanctuary. Then have everything come to fruition at that point. But I dont write this stuff. So i watch.
Doesn't change the fact that the show has been boring and borderline unwatchable for large stretches. I don't care if this is all leading up to the "Red Wedding". If there is a huge payoff on the horizon, part of the satisifaction of that huge payoff is derived from the things that led up to it.
Teen Wolf has been one of my guilty pleasures since it came on TV. There have been some ups and downs episode wise, but I've remained intrigued enough about the direction of the show to keep coming back to it so far each season. Right now I'm looking more forward to Mondays with anticipation for the next episode of Teen Wolf than I am for Sunday and the newest episode of The Walking Dead. Sad state of affairs.
It's been bad since ever since the governor back story started last season. I thought this one would be better now that they are exposed, out in the open and we'd see more zombies....but my god. I literally fell asleep while they were on the porch drinking moonshine after Daryl cried. Can't wait till April 6....Game of Freaking Thrones.
I'm with you, I love the show too. I don't like looking at every inch of detail b/c I just want to enjoy the show instead of analyzing things that aren't that important.
Need to change thread title to "b*tch about the walking dead". Thought last week's episode was a bit boring as well but got to see some character development with Daryl, which is never a bad thing. The show has always had "filler" episodes scattered throughout seasons, so not too put off by it.
Just gonna throw this in here for variety. I loved everything about the episode. Good mix of survival horror and I liked having 2 people to focus on. When the opposite happens, you wind up with T-Dogs to neglect and they become a fan joke.
Would have been good to mix it up a little, too many slow moments trying to get these two to carry a whole episode without much going on... Reedus was on Fallon last night...he said there would be a good buildup to the finale. He sounded pretty excited about that would happen then, but i guess he's got to promote it... I didn't know he had a titanium eye socket...pretty cool
Come on...what a terrible episode. Breaking Bad >>>>>>The Walking Dead. I still like The Walking Dead a lot, but this was just garbage. I feel as if the 4 episodes we've seen this half of the season could have been shown in 2. Feels like such a drag. I wish they'd pick up the pace a bit =/
This show is becoming Jeremy Lin. Hopefully it's just in a slump. Any injury news to blame it on? I saw Rick Grimes limping a few episodes back and Daryl was crying last episode. Something must be up.
