Conditions look ripe for .10-.25" across Central Texas/SE Texas. Look for areas north and west of Houston to have the highest amounts of ice (Bryan/College Station, Brenham areas)
According to Wunderground, we are gonna get a bit of Ice and Snow.. even in some of the southern parts of Houston. I hope UHD and UH cancel classes tomorrow.
This winter has been insane. I've had more closings this winter than in my entire K-12 experience combined.
Watch they won't because of dumb weather stations are not reporting anything. Every time they predict something is going to happen, nothing happens. When they don't say anything about severe weather, that's when ****s hit us.
Significant winter storm in progress. Use extreme caution on roads or do not drive at all, if possible.
Spoiler Spoiler for large image. Main point: ice up to .33" in Warning areas, with isolated amounts up to .50". This is enough to bring down trees and power lines.
Drove in from Kingwood this morning and saw no ice whatsoever. Just lots of puddles. Eastex was actually not bad because of everyone staying home. I would have worked from home today but I have a meeting that I've already postponed twice. Everyone better show up...
Meh. Easy commute in. I'm gonna be pissed if this kills my damn queen palms though as they were hanging bad due to the ice. Not gonna be happy, I love those things.
9 out of my 10 fruit trees had already bloomed before this front hit. No peaches, plums or apricots this year.
