This way is way more funny to see the meltdown from DB fanboys. They need to realise he shouldn't be in the main event since wwe is a business. Wwe makes no money off internet fans who stream the PPV's so why listen to them
This is why I said the Batista problem is one of lazy booking. They just assumed people would treat a returning Batista as a hero and didn't bother to do anything to establish that role. In fact, they probably sabotaged it with how they scripted the Rumble match-- making him the guy that HHH screwed DB in order to hand the Wrestlemania title match to. They should have remembered that the dude's been out of the media for 4 years. Many of the fans don't really remember him or don't remember him all that fondly.
When he first came back he was over, once fans accepted the fact he was getting the Rumble stop they wanted for Bryan he got heat for being that guy. It is an easy save, book Bryan vs. HHH and if Bryan wins he gets into the title match. Bryan beats HHH, then pins Orton in the main event. Bryan shakes his hand, raises it and gives him the spotlight. Fans invested in Bryan, so when Batista just walks in and takes that spot the fans turn on him. I think Vince expected the fans would jump off of Bryan since Batista is jacked.
Other than the raw post game show, I've seen maybe 15 minutes of the network. I wish wrestlemania was here so I can justify paying this.
Keep hearing CM Punk might show up for the Chicago RAW tonight. If he does who would he feud with since DB is beefing with Triple H now. Would they give him what he wants and throw him in the Wrestlemania title match? That match needs SOMETHING so it's not a complete train wreck
Putting Punk in the main event certainly seems most likely, doubt Punk would come back to feud with Triple H given thats one of things that pissed him off so much to begin with. It would work wonders. Punk and Bryan have similar fanbases, so adding Punk to the match would pull a lot of the heat off the match, and they could still put the belt on whoever they originally planned to. Plus Punk and Orton are both solid workers, so the match might even be watchable. Batista could lay around and catch his breath as much as he needs to.
for those with the network - how is it now after it being out for 2 weeks? Are the bugs that plagued the network out? I am waiting for it to be more stable before purchasing it after hearing all the issues with being able to stream archived content and the quality of the stream
You know what, you're right. I saw some nxt. It was the ladder match, but I fell asleep. I'll have to watch some nxt next time.
Works fine on my ps3. Works fine on my iPhone. The first day, archived content didn't really work to well.
Ladder match, women's match and Cesaro Zayn all awesome matches. First time i'd seen any of them (except Cesaro and Emma) in action. The women's champion in NXT is better than any woman on the main roster.
I barely watch wrestling anymore. Mainly watched it with my boys when they were young. But the women matches are so damn boring and mechanical. I get it....t***.....ass....but that's about it.
WWE benefits by Bryan getting his "star-making moment" at the event with the biggest "mainstream" audience. It might not do wonders for the WM30 buyrate, but it would go a long way in building up Bryan as that second bankable star WWE's been looking for since forever. His story's been going on since the build to SummerSlam, so about nine months by the time Wrestlemania gets here. I wouldn't call that short, in fact it kind of like a professional sports or TV series season. Also, you can cite all the business model theory you want, but I'm an unapologetic Daniel Bryan mark, and I want my dude to win the belt. At Wrestlemania. Call me a "fanboy" if you want, but it's more fun than being the smarkiest smark who ever smarked.
That last paragraph was more directed at Voice of Aus' comments at the top of this page. I need to learn that multi-quote feature.
Wow Batista vs Bryan is now advertised for the show. Tonight is shaping up to be a pretty hot show. Shield/Wyatts, Batista/Bryan, more Taker/Lesnar hype, the hot passionate Chicago crowd, the lingering rumors of CM Punk and Aaron Paul hosting to hopefully drop a "YEEAH B*TCH!" line.
If Punk is there they probably need to lead with him, keep fans from hi-jacking. Maybe force him to wrestle his way into the mania main event. Seriously just the addition of Punk to the main event everything else slides into place for a pretty sick card.
