Dwight will be fine. No way he misses a big time game like this.

Yeah, but when? It tooks Parsons a while before his back spasms went away. Same with Lin earlier in the season. I hope Dwight doesn't miss any time over the next two weeks given the level of competition we're facing.

This is why McHale is COTM. He is doing a Popovich and not showing all his cards until the Finals :p

I believe DH12 will play tomorrow but Lin this maybe why he has been in a Funk with his shooting and D. If he needs to rest up it is better that he takes care of his back now before the playoffs. Maybe this is why Troy Daniels was brought called up?

Based on the pad that Howard sits on when he's on the bench (same as the one Phil Jackson sat on as a coach) I'd say back pain is just something Rox fans are going to have to get used to with Dwight. I dont see that as something that will just go away forever.

Not saying Rox fans should freak out that Dwight is never going to be the same again (he's already showing that he can play at a similar level as 2011 now), but what I am saying is that the guy obviously is not as superhuman as one might think, and Morey not really trying that hard to trade Asik (or take less than market value for him) probably means that they are realistic about his health the next 3 years as well.

Rest up D12. We are going to need you for the home stretch of the season and the playoffs.

J-Lin.... uhhhhhh.... I think he needs to get his head right before he plays much less his body. They absolutely are going to need good Jeremy Lin coming off the bench in this final stretch of the season.

I didn't think Dwight's comment was a good one. Just because it goes away it doesn't make them similar in cause. He made it sound like it was just back to business, once it went away, but he's going to need some kind of treatment to make sure it doesn't keep flaring up.

When Dwight said it goes away I'm assuming he meant that we shouldn't think that he's going to break down again like he did with the Magic in his last season. Back spasms are the worst, even I get them every now and then, but it doesn't mean he will have to rehab or get surgery. The only thing I fear is if he plays too hard tomorrow and makes it worst. I think he will play, but will sit out the next two games after that.

I think Dwight was just trying to speak in layman's terms to let people know it's not a serious injury and he will be back soon.

Yeah, you think we won't struggle against the 2-time defending champs without Dwight?

Back spasms indicate something isn't firing correctly, a majority of the time. While i understand he's saying it wasn't caused by a new injury, he can't say with certainty that it's done with. I think he implied that, whether he wanted to or not. Just like with you, it could start happening from time to time, but that could be 2 times in a year or every month. He could also get some treatment done to get everything back in sync and not have it become a bigger problem. We'll have to wait and see..

Saw Lin at dim sum yesterday. Looked fine to me. Probably ate too much.

This news explains a lot. Lin hasn't looked right for a bunch of games now, and his physical issues are the likely cause. He's had no quickness and no elevation. The Rox should just keep him out for a while until he gets healthy, just in time for the end of the regular season and the playoffs. If he can play like he did at the beginning of the season he will be a great help to the team.
