It comes down to reality . No Lin fan wants it hear that Lin is playing bad when he's playing bad. But as those who live by what is real we unfortunately see the reality in the situation . There is a high expectation that is not being met by Lin. And it's on him and he knows that. His fans don't know that .
So people are still comparing Lin's TOs vs. Harden? Jeebus. If Lin averages 25pts a game, and carries the team on his back from time to time, I ain't gonna complain about his TOs either.
I wasnt complaining about them once again harden is the WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better player. I was referring to a poster talking about lin/harden T.O.
I write the above post and then this guy below replies with this: Firstly, where in my post am I talking about Harden? A little reading comprehension goes a long way.... The rest of your post is just drivel. Bash Lin anytime? Ok. I am talking about this season and yet you bring up last season. I know what Lin did last season and have given him is due. What he did last season is not going to help him get more minutes. It is what he does now. Lin knows that and yet Lin fans still talk about past achievements.....
I didnt expect too much to come from it & dont know why I wasted my time. You beat around the bush.. and yes bro you are proabbly LOH #1 in CF... people liek u make the game threads bad to read because all u do is bash lin. and u are the main person in numbers are clear thread and this one.. are you not ?

That still leaves 4000 other posts about Jeremy being a joke. A lot of debate about Rocket who is a good guy by all accounts. That is something I find that bizzarre. I normally avoid threads that run there course and serve no real purpose to this community. I feel posting here makes me part of the problem. But sometimes I read something stupid and I feel compelled to comment on it, like the Lin makes 8 mil that's why he is a joke. I probably take it more personal than I should because I really like the guy. But I am not delusional. I do not want him starting over Bev and concede there is a clear gap between the two that wasn't so clear before. Still just to hate on him when he mostly helps this team and is a good guy just doesn't make much sense. He is a Rocket and Morey and McHale think he is a contributor even if he is overpaid. That's what gets me. Anyway I am done posting on here for a while in my attempt to not contribute anymore to a worthless thread.
LOL you didn't expect too much because you have no basis. You replied to my post saying I was talking about Harden when clearly I was talking about Lin exclusively. If calling Lin an average PG at best, TO prone and mentally fragile makes me LOH #1 so be it. I could care less what a LOF thinks of me. Y'all say the same thing anyway. And FYI I praised Lin last season but this season and of late he has been putrid. I call it as I see it. Go do your research and then come back - I am clearly not the main person in either of the threads you mention.
The photo with the ankle iced up didn't look good. Hope he's not hurt. I'd rather he shoot his way out of the 5 game shooting slump.

Clutchfans are a joke. The negitivivity and obsessions on Jeremy Lin is over the top. going to stay away from clutch fans for a while. Peace out.
Actually, I said his range was 2:1 - 3:1. he was a 2:1 A/TO guy last year (slightly better I believe), and in the games when he has played the Point this year, his A/TO ratio has been higher than that. He is not an inconsistent player. He is just not consistently used. There is a difference. Anyway, I think he's still the same player who sparked Houston to a solid wins streak that pushed them into the West's top 4 (which just happened a few weeks ago btw). I think he's the same player who kept the Rockets afloat in November and filled in nicely when Beverley was hurt to get big wins against SA and Mem among others. He is the Rockets' 4th best shooter, and that's despite the slump. He's really top 3.
The truth is , Harden gives you almost 25 points, Howard gives you 19 and 12reb, and Lin gives you 13pts and 4 assists. It disingenuous to compare their turnovers.
Chicken and egg, my friend. Lin had been getting consistent minutes at the backup PG spot for quite a while, right? His minutes declined as his performance declined. If continued at a 15/5 clip I'd bet a case of beer he still would be getting ~30 minutes per game. Cause and effect, but just not the way you see it. He's not been the same player for the past few weeks. That's the point. Not just statistically and output wise, but it's clear if you simply watch him play. Hopefully it's due to that previously undisclosed back injury. That would make sense and is much easier to explain than a random free fall in play.
I will never forget that play at Golden State, where Lin got clobbered by a David Lee moving screen..... (The same game Lee came close to taking out Harden's right arm.) Lin was keeled over after that hit, which was more like a football block. Lin has played awful ever since.... If Lin is having back issues, I'll go to that David Lee moving screen being what likely caused it. But now Dwight is having back problems?? This could be devastating........
I wasn't talking about minutes. I was talking about his role. Again we're talking about 5 games for this slump. I don't think there can be many quarrels about his play during the first half up to the all star break. As for his role, he has had to play the #2, play with the 2nd unit, play the point at times when others are hurt, be a spot up shooter, and the playmaker who bails the team out at the end of a shot clock, Guard the 1, Guard the 2. It's not a consistent role. When Gary Payton had to be more of a spot up shooter for the Lakers, his game suffered and he's one of the best of all time. It's hard to do. My point is that despite having to juggle a lot of roles Lin has been very effective until this 5 game stretch. If you exclude these 5 games (and I think he had good stretches in the GS, Sac and LAC games btw) Rockets fans should be very pleased with his progression as a player. He has shot a high percentage consistently through the first 4.5 months of the year. His left hand is very solid and he has become an equally good playmaker with either hand. He has a credible 3pt shot (Shooting around 33%-35% for most of the year). His defense has improved a lot. He has held his opposing PGs to a lower shooting % than has Beverley. His rebounding has improved. When he has played the point, his A/TO ratio has been better than last year. He has absolutely made the team win 6 or 7 games more than they otherwise would have when he has filled in for injured players and because of his consistently effective 4th quarter play. In the western conference, that means a lot. But I don't see that recognition for him on this site. If this site is reflective of the Houston fan base, then I think it's going to be difficult for him to remain effective in Houston next year.
We get it, khyberjones. All of his struggles are the fault of someone else -- now even down to the Houston fanbase. We get it.
