I, at first, thought the pizza bit was stupid, but then after seeing some big stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Hudson actually eating an entire piece and chewy during the Oscars, thus risking bad photos on tabloids the next day;... I'm beginning to wonder if Ellen knows they are truly hungry during Oscar night from missing dinner and probably skipping lunch, too, while stressing about what to wear. I didn't think anyone would actually eat their piece of pizza, but since they did, I give the bit a thumbs up. Still say it's a shame the starving Kenyan girl didn't get a piece of pizza.
¡VIVA México!! Spoiler http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupita_Nyong'o Watch the footage again. She asks her repeatedly. The original bit was to "break a record" with Streep. I've never tried to say I know more than anyone. I caught that it was a failed attempt to get her OUT of the photo is all. I didn't know you were a big Ellen fan, man, I apologize if I hurt your feelings. I meant the part about making it funnier if Streep was not in the photo.
She's vegan I think. Like that ageless vampire Leto. And it was kinda cool seeing everyone eat on paper plates that Brad Pitt was passing around.
Count me as one who didn't get "Nebraska". It didn't do a thing for me. Sure, the performances were solid but I felt the script was weak and, beyond the cinematography being better than average, it felt like a Lifetime movie. It sure was climactic at the end there when he's driving the truck... . lol. I would show it in retirement homes, though, as it's about that speed.
I thought that pizza thing was pretty good. Clearly Harrison Ford and Scorsece loved the idea. Pretty sure those guys would of had seconds.
I think Hill was a clearly better choice than Leto. I don't think Leto's character was very challenging per say. Like I said though, the Academy is an easy read so I knew he'd win from the get-go. Leo and MM was a toss-up at best. I'd give the nod to Leo because the range he had to show in Wolf, because it was the much better of the two flicks. It is just unfortunate for Leo, that Wolf was truly his only real trans-formative role - and he went up against MM and Bale, both in more trans-formative roles. Basically he has the same luck as everyone who is nominated the years Day-Lewis decides to act again. Leo will get his eventually, just as Marty did in directing. Cate can do whatever she likes, she's amazing. Bullock isn't someone who is easily offended anyway, and has had awkward speeches of her own. <iframe width="512" height="288" src="http://www.hulu.com/embed.html?eid=qvk-nq8604aldgim_akqlg" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
Matthew McConaughey: Say, Leo, you got an Oscar? Leonardo DiCaprio: No, not on me, man. Matthew McConaughey: It'd be a lot cooler if you did.
