Can I get some free advice? My wisdom tooth on the left side of my jaw came out impacted. Other one came out just fine. Can I have the impacted one taken out while leaving the other one or do I need to have both taken out?
You can have one taken out only...doesnt need to be both. FYI though, impacted means that it's in the bone and hasnt come out of the gums. In other words, it's not visible. The majority of people will have issues with wisdom teeth at one point or another...95% of the time, I recommend them to be pulled. It's very rare to have straight, cavity free, wisdom teeth...in those cases, keep them in. Otherwise, pull them.
rezdawg how many locations do you have, I live in the Sugar Land area. I need work done bad! I can't chew down on my left side, it's so much pain not sure if it needs pulling out or root canal. Do you have anything to sedate the pain cause I is a b**** when it comes to oral surgery!!!
I have insurance but may need a new dentist. don't really like my current one. i'm coming for you rezdawg.
The doctor stuck me 6x with the needle!!! Those few minutes were 1000x worse than the 1 hour of work and 10 hours soreness. Kept my eyes open because I'm the man.
From the sound of it, looks like you've got your diagnosis right...either root canal to save the tooth or pull it out. 2 locations. One on Richmond near Kirkwood in the West Houston Medical Center and another location in Katy near Katy Mills. We have a surgeon on staff in the event of difficult extractions and he does sedation with IV. We can also give you a pill that leaves you conscious but it a different world. In either scenario, you'd need a driver to take you home.
