Even if it was a teleprompter issue... how did he screw it up that bad?

Her name is Idina Menzel!! In no universe did the consonants and vowels he said take presence within her name.

Did Cate Blanchett make a jab at Sandra Bullock?

One of the worst acceptance speeches I've ever seen. My respect for Cate Blanchett just dropped considerably. And yes, MB, she stabbed both Sandy and Gravity in the back.

Wooderson is fantastic in True Detective and good in DBC but he's gonna have to put more work in to make up for Fools Gold and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Can't disagree with the choice of Matthew McConaughey...he was GREAT in DBC. But man, I feel sorry for Leo. He's turned in great performance after great performance and keeps coming up short.

And they really need to dump this silly 10 movies nominated for Best Picture. Go back to 5 and make it actually MEAN something.

He'll get a pity one sometime down the road like Pacino did. DiCaprio always puts on a really good performance but not a blow you away performance.

Every movie deserved to be there. Let the Academy pick the winner and not the nomination committe.

When I started reading your post, I thought you were going to refer to MM's speech.

It's hard to believe that guy who was speaking, won best actor. lol.

And I don't think Blanchett meant to take a jab at Bullock / Gravity - it came off sounding rude, but I think Blanchett meant that she could watch Gravity repeatedly, instead of Gravity being overly long.

    I could be wrong though.

The point is to not exclude all the great movies with simply an arbitrary number... and it means even more to the movie that actually wins when its best out of 10.

Was he even in the running, my gut was that it would be between MM and the 12 years a slave guy.

I am somewhat surprised MM won, but i was glad he did. Best speech of the night.

I am also glad that U2 didn't win because all we'd hear would be a bucn of political mumbo jumbo.
