Yes, they would. Gambino's become much better known recently. He's for real.

Located at the Microsoft Studio at 323 Congress Ave., the celebration will kick off at 9pm and will feature exclusive opportunities to meet the developers behind "Titanfall," cool giveaways, and of course, lots of "Titanfall" gameplay. A special performance by Childish Gambino, one of the most exciting young talents in music, mixing a unique blend of hip-hop genres, will cap the evening.

Attendance will be on a first come, first served basis – though you can also follow @MajorNelson and @Xbox on Twitter for exclusive opportunities to win your way in.

I know the game is not 1080p but this childish gambling guy will be in real time retina resolution.

He's like the Wayne Brady for millennials. When that fat gerbil Lena Dunham was accused of racism on her HBO show 'Girls' she cast 'Childish Gambino' as her token black friend. That's all you need to know about Donald Glover.

New Batman game coming out from the developers that worked on Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Really looking forward to it. You'd think it would have to be on next gen.

Looking forward to Titanfall coming out too. Going to try and play it on my mobile broadband connection and see how I go. I get 10 gig per month to use so hopefully that's enough!

He is also wildly funny and basically kept Community watchable even when they switched show runners. All this Donald Glover hate is just sad, Troy and Abed in the morning!

Yeah, it should be next-gen, though probably cross-gen. IIRC, WB signed a deal to use UE3 for at least another year.

I joked about Strider being the first XBO game to be better than the PS4 version, but looks like we might have another game to add to the list:
    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-thief-next-gen-face-off
PS4 version has the higher resolution and framerate, but it also has some issues with texture filtering and (oddly enough) texture streaming (XBO was less than ideal too I believe, but PS4 was noticeably worse). Those issues are a bigger deal than the higher resolution and framerate (especially since the framerate is pretty poor on both).

With Strider, this is the 2nd game to have issues with texture filtering. This is something that is generally "free" on modern GPUs, so I wonder if there might be a bug (or something?) in the PS4 SDK. Might be something to keep an eye on. I'm a little perplexed as to why there are problems with streaming assets. This was a problem on 360/PS3 with UE3, but shouldn't really be a problem at all on PS4/XBO.

Much like the game itself, it seems like Eidos really dropped the ball. I was pretty excited about Thief originally (especially with how Deus Ex was handled). Sad to see this entry turn out so poorly.

I don't even really feel like these results count (Strider is fine, just referring to Thief), if it's getting the same results in games that are actually coded properly then I'll worry. Considering how bug ridden this game is allegedly, I really don't feel like it matters.

His music is also quite good. That is to say he's a very good lyricist. Comparing him to Wayne Brady is funny, but it's actually insulting to Donald Glover if you think about it.

It is what it is. I'd rather just present the results, and let people interpret them as they wish. I'm not going to start "cherry-picking" data points because the results seemed odd to me. "Oh...well THAT game just wasn't coded properly." We've already seen that pop up in other comparisons, and I'd rather not let that be an acceptable conclusion for every break-down between platforms.

I do agree with you of course. Thief is an incredibly poor example of a next-gen game in many different ways. Besides not looking great OR performing great, I think I saw they re-used Sony's template for their patch. If they're being that "lazy" there, it shows how much effort they might have put in other areas.

But there will be many cases like that, and I think it will be interesting to see how the results for those games turn out. Will unskilled devs always result in games like this? Or were these differences something that might not happen for every game?

If I am right about the texture filtering being a SDK bug, perhaps future games will not have this problem (and PS4 versions will be on par or better with every XBO game in that area). I know some also speculated that DF might have seen the texture streaming appear worse on PS4 because the game can be played while it is being installed on the HDD (so it might be streaming from disc during the game, which could cause issues with texture streaming). I actually have no idea if that was the case here (it can likely be easily refuted), but if that is a problem, it will be interesting to see if that crops up again in future games.

Much like MS needs to update their tools so that devs can figure out how to leverage the ESRAM to support full 1080p/60 FPS, Sony might need to update their tools so devs can figure out how to leverage super-fast GDDR5 and a 18CU GPU for things like AF in games. :p

Yeah of course, no one should ever fault you for providing information. Just adding to the discussion. :)

We know MS is sending out new SDK's to developers now. We know that MS is updating software on the xbox one...now. Sony is VERY SLOW at updating anything. One of the reason I went with Xbox One is MS is VERY GOOD at updating the Xbox's software.

BTW....the Xbox One is nowhere near perfect. Today, I had to take my xbox one to the MS Store for a bad DVD drive. They swapped it out for me (I bought it from Best Buy). Save me the hassle of shipping it off (or advanced return option). I guess MS has learn from Apple when it comes to their retail stores.

As for Sony? They are closing their retail stores...I don't think you get PS4 swap outs there anyway.

Haha, I haven't had any issues that needed servicing on my PS4. I'm guessing that'll be the first of many issues you experience with your Xbox. I went through 4 Xbox 360s, never again.
And their support? Non-existent. You're lucky you got it through Best Buy.

Highly doubtful that the xbox one will have any more issues than the PS4.

Yeah, I have to think MS has learned their lesson from last gen. If they had failure rates for XB1 similar to what they had for the 360, they'd never live it down. You'd better believe they did a ton of testing for possible hardware failure problems before they shipped systems this time.

Um....PS4 had its' on launch issues. Blinking Blue light of Death, Red Line of Death, Disc Eject problem, and Analog stick pads crumbling.

The Xbox One had some bad DVD drives. Again, I walked into a MICROSOFT STORE in a mall (not Best Buy) and the replacement was done in about 15 minutes. Best Buy won't touch it unless you buy their warranty outside of the return period. I would have had to send it off, or do the credit card advance replacement. The Microsoft Store saved me a week or so.

Misread your post (about the MS store), but I don't know why you're mentioning those alleged PS4 issues, they were less than 1% of the launched consoles. 3 dudes posting their problems on reddit do not constitute an issue. I've definitely put my controllers through the paces and have had no problems with them, neither has anyone I know who has one. (1 fellow posted here about his being DOA when he received it, but he replaced it immediately. I also don't know him personally so)

As for those saying they've learned their lesson; maybe, maybe not. That remains to be seen. If Xboxs start dying en masse within the first few years I won't be shocked.
