You are assuming that Dragic will stay if Morey gave that player option. I highly doubt he chose Phoenix solely based on that. There was already indications towards the end of his Rockets tenure that he wanted to leave.

This is getting really old. We needed to pay him a lot of money to keep him. That interview during ASW proved it, he wanted to be in the city that he started with. If we spent the money it took to get him we wouldn't have enough to pay Dwight.
He's a star, no doubt about it. But would he be the right fit? We have a dominant scorer in the backcourt already in Harden. What this team really needs is a stud at the 4. The perfect point guard would be a Derek Fisher-type(sans the flopping and dirty play). Someone who can D up and knock down outside shots. Pat Beverley is a poor man's version of that.
