Cant buy em' out because of the Turkish and Harvard exchange rate difference. Morey tired to bitcoin it but Adam Silver was like, nah, brah - nah.

If Silver is no good, perhaps gold is?

Maybe on paper but after you count deals Les get because of Lin, then it is not even close.

I honestly thought it was that PO that killed the contract for us between Dragic and Morey?

Can't speak for Lin, but Asik was and probably remains tradable. Especially considering that we can send him away with 3 million dollars attached to him to relieve part of that 15 million dollar bulge he is owed next year. There were deals out there for him, just none that Morey was willing to accept because he felt they were below his value. Lin on the other hand is probably an albatross contract. I've said before that I think his highest trade value would be in the final year of his deal at the trade deadline as an expiring contract.

I would have thought it obvious. Lin's game is actually Harden-lite. Most parts of the Rockets offense are dependent on having a ball handler who can penetrate off the dribble and get to the rim. Lin actually excels at this. He is a decent three point threat, as good at finding the open man off of penetration as Harden, and is overall the better defender. His P&R is actually Hardens equal.

Signing Lin was an excellent move by Morey. There is of course no way that he could have predicted that James "Lin on steriods and HGH" Harden would fall into his lap.

We can but we want them for the playoff run..we are contenders. Maybe if we sucked we might buy them out and create cap room, but chances are we'd still keep and trade I guess.

Buying a player out creates no cap room. It still counts against the cap. Every dollar of the contract.
