Afterlife, where I can see everyone again without bed fir attachment or despair.

Though what it turns out to be and how long it lasts is ultimately not going to meet expectation.

I think freezing my mind in an eternal sentence of dreams would probably carry the same meaning to me for all intents and purposes

Nothingness... As I'd hate to go through the nonsense of puberty again... and I really don't see the purpose of an afterlife....

Though I'd have nothing against reincarnation if it were more along the lines of unconscious formless energy without any semblance of sentience simply being reused/recycled by the universe....

Why would you care to see anyone in the absence emotions...?

Which makes me think of something else, somewhat relevant to this... Why do people even long for eternal bliss...? Do people simply take for granted on what actually makes life interesting...?

I myself choose to limit my view of existence to only what is real. The day I talk to God or see God or "feel God" or Jesus is the day I believe. I want God to be real, I just can't believe in something based on what other people tell me.

    I can live with 1, 3 & 4, but voted 1.

Nothingness sounds like a perfect waste of space.

The reincarnation thing sounds fun, as long as I am human.
The eternity in a boring place where no fun stuff is allowed does not sound fun. Ill pass.
The nothingness doesnt bother me, you play your part on this earth, then you pass to make room for the future.
The live for today thing...do it anyway, has nothing to do with my life after death beliefs...just the way I live my life.

So, I guess if I was the guy making the call, I would go with reincarnation with a side wish that I at least keep my spirit in each new life so I know that life is just an endless absorption of experiences while living those lives.

what space..? the world is overpopulated as is... and the universe couldn't be more indifferent and unaffected by human death... it will go on existing as it always has unfettered equally in the absence of your conscious existence as it does in it's presence...

Except that the universe is expanding and will continue to expand forever.

I used to think that the idea of a big bang and then a big squish repeating over and over again was a really nice and clean potential explanation of things. The science just doesn't back it up, though.

Just a latent idea/hope of souls returning to an abstract source.

...in addition to a chronic search/desire for permanent (eternal?) meaning.

I can't grasp the concept of eternity, just like how I can't really understand death (absolute zero?).

It's a selfish desire to be one again with people who have formed imprints among my collective memories and experiences. I'm not selfish enough to the point of excluding others for what they've done in the past, though I think by being aware and knowing of everyone else, that the emotional attachment of the life live before fades away.

Maybe at that collective state, friends before are realized to be distant strangers, and what was once thought as enemies are souls kindred to once tortured ambitions.

They will be somewhere they didn't think existed.

To burn in an eternal lake of fire? Is that where you believe I am going to go? I could not love a god that does that to people who did not know that he existed.

What a silly thing to believe.

Agree, Hmm. You just took my words too literally...I was just having creative fun with my answer.

But I think I'll also consider global consciousness as a way to affect the physical world.

I'm really lost on how anyone could say anything other than heaven. I mean if it's really heaven, it's supposed to be paradise. Everything you could ever want is there and you have eternal happiness. How could reincarnation be better than that? It's heaven. You don't get bored in heaven, otherwise it's not heaven.

I don't see why anybody would want reincarnation. Sometimes I welcome the other side. At least I won't have any more school or work to deal with.

The problem is that if it is an eternal unchanging state of happiness that eventually it will become nothingness. We can't appreciate or even be aware of things without contrast and change.

I chose Heaven, but reincarnation is cool too. Mainly, I want some form of higher being whether it be God or a spirit to balance injustices and answer questions you always wanted to know.

There is no happiness without sadness... it's intrinsically impossible to be eternally happy as we define the term mean...
