Not an expert on what? Why don't you try naming yourself in the Taiwanese native tongue? I seriously don't get the ribbing here - it's not like everyone here can speak fluent Mandarin.
The real name of the director is : Hsinjen Lin. Granted, he could have a English name but I highly doubt it will be Trust. I checked his LinkedIn profile and found nothing more. Unless there is some source from the OP, I will rather believe this is a failed humor of trolling.
Not an expert in Mandarin (or Taiwanese). My family members speak Mandarin and have been to Taiwan a lot, but not me. The English names are funny to any native English speaker. I've spoken with these folks and they know the names are different but they don't care, they revel in the difference. I couldn't name myself in any Chinese dialect, but if I did I'd probably make mistakes that would seem fine to another American but hilarious to a Chinese.
His LinkedIn profile says "Trust Lin". The Taiwan tourism website lists "Trust Lin" as the Director: http://go2taiwan.net/overseas_office.php. The MLB has a picture of him when they did a deal with the Dodgers. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110518&content_id=19240254&c_id=la&partnerId=rss_la (L-R) Kenley Jansen, Michael Young, Russell Mitchell, Trust Lin and Tim Wallach. (Jon SooHoo / Los Angeles Dodgers) Guys, Chinese and American culture are very different and still becoming acquainted with each other. No reason to get defensive about cultural clashes.
Nah, LOF's on this site spend most their time crying about the mistreatment Lin on the internet, I doubt I will see them in the streets of Taiwan.
