Bright spot of the evening was Hamilton. Silky smooth shot. He's long. His defense isn't good but at least he tries. He got to the rim last night too showing his versatility. Looking good.
i think this was an excellent find. sorry we had to give up ab though. my thoughts is denver needed a pg and with lin needing minutes to play better and learn denver would have been a good place for him and ab when relied upon did well, i think he knew he was on a short leash here and did the best with the minutes he had. i'm guessing morey offered lin but denver didn't want to take on the salary which is understandable. end result i'm loving hamilton and i feel his 3pt shot will only get better with more games.
I like the contole he is playing with because he is a chunker at heart. - if open shot / if not pass the ball. (Good job so far) "Top shelf role player" for 3rd string PG
I dont think people can comprehend this.....Hamilton is looking good but he needs to be the 1st or 2nd man off the bench. People are realy calling for Parsons starting job after 2 games (with the flu). I know CF is the land of the kneejerk and the home of the overreaction but this is starting to get out of hand.
2nd game with a new team against an elite power in the Western Conference in his home town with playoff implications on the line and he passed with flying colors. This game had all the elements built in for him to have a bad game and he shined. THAT is what I took away from this game. Dude has stones and he made some clutch shots too.
I expect Parsons to get back on track. If Hamilton can keep up his play, we are looking good at small forward for the next season. I don't expect him to keep up this kind of shooting, but I like how he picked up the offensive philosophy of the Rockets quickly.
Hey there Tinman, You know, Hamilton was a top 10 national recruit coming out of high school. (led the Horns in threes and put up numbers) I think a lack of maturity and structure at UT/Denver played a large role. He was like 19 or 20 when he came out? So young. A late first rounder... Hamilton butted heads with three or four big name coaches while riding the pine for a couple of years....was frustrated. But he still worked on his game... I think that, growing up, and watching has given him an understanding of the flow on/off the court..and what it takes to stay out there. Being buried behind those guys in Denver was the best thing that could have happened to him. Playing on a contender, with a post presence, the Beard, Chandler.....will create amazing spacing/great looks for a guy that has always been able to fill it up from Downtown.....Silky smooth. Morey ad infinitum.
Just all of a sudden Parsons has the flu right as we play the Clippers... I wonder what the excuse will be against Lebron. Glad we are playing tough teams next 10 games we need this for our team.
Dude why do you go into a thread to take a dump on Parsons everytime? What do you mean an excuse against the clippers? Stop being an idiot.
I'm waiting on this guy to live up to all the hype I keep hearing. Tired of hearing excuses. Howard and Harden is getting way more attention on defense and this guy just plain needs to step it up. It would be good for him, the fans and the rockets. I know other players like Lin and Jones need to play better but nobody minds calling them out but Parsons needs to step it up too especially being called the glue or the leader.
