I'm guessing you missed the part where I said I wasn't accusing Lin of lacking that mentality -- just sharing something I read just today about another player in a similar situation.

Honestly, reactions like yours are the reason I don't even post thoughts about Lin on this board anymore unless it's overwhelmingly positive/complimentary. I started omitting him from my post-game critiques -- where EVERYBODY can get it, even my faves -- for this reason. It's just not worth the headache/ensuing snarkiness.

Spot on by Harden. We were in the game with a winning chance. I got frustrated watching the game because a lot of those 50-50 shots were not going in! Even Dwight missed a pointblank dunk shot. It's just one of those games had a few of those went in we would have won because momentum is a such a biatch.

I don't know why so many "fans" are so upset about it. It wasn't even a bad game. Most disappointing Lin is once again thrown under the internet bus.

Schedule loss. Nothing else to see here. In fact I thought it was a major step in the right direction that we were in this game in the 4th quarter. This was a blowout loss early in the year. That's big time progress.

    Everybody chill out.

A expected loss at the end of a 5-game road trip against a team that has our numbers.

Everybody played like dog poop, saved for the new guy.

We will make for this loss somewhere in near future by beating someone we shouldn't and pray like a mofo we don't see the Clips in the first round as our two superstars do not play well against them. As they Howard and Harden go, so does the team.

If Hamilton plays well this season, he is most likely out of Houston.

Specifically, the Nuggets declined his team option for next season already, so he is going to be an unrestricted FA and the Rockets can offer him no more than $2.2M under the CBA.

We had a lot of problems tonight. Just really glad we stuck with it and didn't let it get out of hand. I said it earlier--if this was a test, I think we passed. Not with an A, but we certainly didn't fail. Even with the unwanted L being the fact of the matter.

Actually, I thought the Beverley/Lin combo was very effective.
    And I quite liked that.

Not sure what KMcHale is up to.

Am a little puzzled why a player who plays a piecemeal 18 mins
get so much blame for a loss.

Piecemeal as in disjointed snippets here and there.

Having played a little sport myself, I like continuity.
Speaking for myself, I can do more in 4 x 8 minutes
stretches and in 8 x 4 minutes and even less with 16 x 2 minutes.

Oh yeah, I think we lost today cos no one played PG.

I think the most was 3 assists (3 players).

And Hamilton seems to be fitting in nicely.

I was going to point out something else, but I cant remember now.

I don't wanna go all what-have-you-done-for-me-lately, but it's almost hard to believe he was a no-brainer Rising Star selection just a couple of weeks ago. I'm hopeful he can bounce back, but I'm beginning to worry. Defensive lapses aside, he doesn't even work the boards like he used to.

    Rookie Wall.

Jones has played 1400+ minutes so far this season. He's never played more than 1200 minutes in a season in his life (he played closed to in each of his 2 years in Kentucky).

I lost my marbles when Jones fumbled that wide open dunk out of bounds.

He is responsible for 10-12 guaranteed points being lost. 3 of the times we passed it to him and he wasn't even looking or acting like he wanted it, and the rest of the time he was just too scared to go up for a point blank dunk.
