ray of hope Hope Ham is for real. What a game again for him. Man he reminds me of Casspi in preseason and beginning part of the season. If he can consistently sink those open treys, he will help the team in a lot of way. The 2nd unit this year sucks big time. Lin needs a reliable sniper in the 2nd unit to dish for open 3s. We used to have Patterson, Delfino, Morris & TD shooting pretty well last year. This year the trey team is just miserable and inconsistent. Hope Hamilton and Daniel will change some of that for the 2nd unit, and Lin will hopefully play with more confidence when his open shooters can sink those treys ending up having good assist number for him.
I've never said that before. I actually called out this guy for saying something like Canaan was already better (which isn't true) but by the end of the season I can see it happening. If Lin really needs his confidence and needs to jack up shot after shot a game to get it thats what the dleague is for. Perhaps a couple of games down there will get him into his groove. The NBA level just seems a bit too much for him atm.
Bev is limited but he isn't a bad player. Lin is bad in that his possession of hte ball doesn't amount to anything. He dribbles into nowhere, pump fakes to only pass it to somebody off position, and is a bad shooter. The ball on his hands just takes minutes off the possession. Bev, at least, plays inside the offense and makes things happen.
While I don't disagree with the intention, come on you're talking about the D-League here. I'm pretty sure Lin isn't that bad now that he has to go there to get his mojo back. He's just gotta get some of his shots to fall which will give him more confidence to attack the basket more. Not to mention the D-League is no where close to the talent level of the NBA. I doubt dominating there would be able to get him to play at an above average level in the NBA again.
This is exactly what needs to happen. Spoiler He's just gotta get some of his shots to fall which will give him more confidence to attack the basket more. I don't want to give him any more minutes. The team shouldn't be at the mercy to when he'll be playing decently. Spoiler Not to mention the D-League is no where close to the talent level of the NBA. ^Wow, what a mess. This is exactly what needs to happen. I don't want to give him any more minutes. The team shouldn't be at the mercy to when he'll be playing decently. Well he sure isn't NBA level right now.
No excuses but McHail is partly responsible for this, I do believe McHail treats Lin differently, everytime Lin makes a mistake you see McHail jumps on him right away or with negative emotions, but Harden or Parsons? nothing, McHail does have his favorite but good coaches need to help players develop, not killing their confidence.... but Lin is soft, he needs to toughen up.
I don't think McHale does that but if so, I'd understand because Harden and Parsons produce. Lin plays badly more than good and probably doesn't do what he's told.
Lin seems to lack focus on the field. Maybe he is just too weak to handle McHale's treatment. But the game was lost in the battle of Harden vs. Collison in 4th q. Harden's defense was atrocious, while McHale had no system to make Clippers pay for the Harden-Collison mismatch. This will be the typical scene in playoffs where the R&R offense will fail miserably.
Lin played bad but so did other players. Let's not strictly blame Lin. Some of y'all haters reaching hard lol
Who else thought Lin was going to go Linsane after he made the rainbow three to give us the 1 point lead? I did... and boy was i disappointed.
Lol First of all I'm not an LOF. I started watching the Rockets in the Tmac era (though you're not the best person to tell this to lol). Oh and I'm from Texas and go to UT, so let's get the name calling out of here. And my mistake. Last time Lin was in a slump he said the same thing about Brooks, not Canaan. So my bad
Of course we lost this game because of Lin and his poor 18 minutes of play. We definitely didn't lose because of Parsons going 3-13 or Harden's 6 TOs. On a more positive note, Hamilton looks pretty good. Finally, someone off the bench who can shoot 3s.
Is Chalmers a starting point guard on a championship team? No we couldn't. With Lowry maybe, but not Dragic. Funny how the games leading up to the ASG Lin was doing so well and it was all calm and peaceful here. And now after only a few games the trolls are coming out and salivating at the chance to bash him. Looks like on this board you really are only as good as your last game
