I am not trying to find excuse for him. Obviously sth is bothering him. He does not have his mojo. He is still young and may lack of experience of handling this difficult situation. Heck, even some veteran players have troubles, e.g. Miller...

Am I supposed to be intimidated by you having watched the Rockets for 48 years?

You mean the Morey that got Harden, Howard, drafted Parsons, and made us relevant for the first time in a while? And seriously? Burning this team to the ground?

If being 39-19 (a really good record, btw) is burning the team to the ground, I'd hate to think what you'd describe us as, if we had a worse record.

you can't trade him, too much $$$. plus, a Beverley and Lin combo is actually needed since Beverley doesn't provide much of a punch on the offensive end.

This is even more crucial when our PF slot is shaky as heck.

playing aggressively and contributing doesn't always = exciting. I don't expect Lin to be exciting, that wasn't my point. It CAN be exciting to do those things, but they're not synonyms.

How can you have a new PG when Harden is the PG? Why do you think BEVERLY is the "PG" because he is not a playmaker but only a hand-the-ball-to-harden kinda player so that he can play hard on defense and all the tangibles.

Yep we are gonna play against Miami, OKC, Pacers and Portland. But I'm excited to play against Miami. Finally we we can play against them. It's the first game against them this season.. I think we match up pretty well against the Heat.

could be? I dunno, I guess I see your point, but yes, I would still play aggressive. When I play basketball, or well whenever I do anything, I try to do it the best way that I can. I felt the same way with Asik. These guys have a chance to do something SPECIAL with THIS team, but if they want to pout or play lackluster due to lack of playing time or ideas of "starting," then sure let them go play 30min a game for another team so they can spend most of their NBA career out of the playoffs with slightly better stats.

I can assure you that if Lin was aggressive and busting his a$$ in practice and in games, he'd get more minutes. If it is something mental, he needs to grow up and show why he should play more. If its something physical then I wish it would've been disclosed before we traded Brooks lol.

He is actually 12/6/6 per 36 minutes to night. I would say that is a very solid contribution. He is not shooting well though...

But people will always remember Beverly's blocks or offensive rebounds... They will remember your steals or 3pts at 4th quarter. They will also remember your TOs...

I'm not even going to try and read ppl's post in this thread because i just know it's going to be ugly. Just my points...

    STARTERS

Parson's was way below his own par this game in both ends of the court. It was either the flu or just having one of those games, I felt that Hamilton should have taken more of his 32 mins in this game.

Jones was non existent. His one of those players that seem to have regressed along with Lin recently.

Harden below his par today. Clippers defended him well as a team. Can't crucify him too much since his had a good run of good games

Howard was about par offensively, but defensively he was a bit lacking.

Beverley defended ok and hustled well but definately below his par. He had a few turnovers, got lost on picks and did'nt offer enough offensively. 2 fga is not good enough. He also let CP3 get to him in the end, but I think CP3 does that to a lot of pg's.

    BENCH

Hamilton continues to impress me. It seems he just has the right feel for the game and has the athleticism to match it. He's definately a genuine find.

Asik did okay also, see much improvement with his footwork and his positioning in the game. I still think his not 100% which is a good sign since he can still improve

Lin still playing hesitant. I noticed a couple of plays where I thought he was starting to get over it, unfortunately he was pulled out of the game. Hope he can continue to work on it in the next game.

Monti played well most of the game. Some good stretches.

People have different reactions to the same situation. I read an article about Matt Barnes earlier today, and how much better he's been playing over the last handful of games. He said he had been the subject of trade rumors and knew the Clips tried to move him, so he'd been distracted. But that after the deadline passed, he felt okay to play freely/aggressively again because he knew he was staying. Says he knows his days with the Clippers are numbered, but this is the team they have right now and he wants to do what he can to help them win. Not an ideal situation, but that's the mentality you'd want a guy in that situation to have.

ETA: Before I'm attacked by Lin fans, I'm not saying Jeremy isn't interested in helping the team win. Just sharing what I read.

    What Harden said about tonight:

    http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/game-day-rockets-clippers

    And Jason Friedman's comments:

On the positive side, I think the team did a solid job defensively overall. The Clippers are an explosive offensive team and it's an achievement to keep them from totally running over an opponent.

If he can't do this, why should he get $8m/year?
He is OK, but he should do better, and he can do better

How do we know Lin doesn't have that mentality?? Are we mind readers now? Looked like he played pretty hard tonight to me - not great, but good effort at least.

wait, per 36min tonight? Do you mean if we doubled his minutes his stats would be doubled? no.

Plus, he played 19 min....so per 38min he also shot 4-16 with 4 turnovers. Of course, I don't believe that, just going with that logic flow. Believe me, I see Beverly's flaws too, but he knows and plays his role better than Lin seems too (at least as of late). Lin is better than he is playing (and yes, Bev is too in different ways). I just think Lin's faults lately are more noticeable honestly. I hope he can keep his head up, cause we'll need him soon and come playoff time. He should be shining more with that 2nd unit, especially with Asik and Hamilton, but instead it just seems kind've... meh.

I thought the biggest development from this game was our backup SF flat out out-playing our starting SF. Would you rather overpay Parsons in 2 years or trade him in the off-season with other pieces for a legit star PF and give Hamilton the MLE? I'm going with the latter.

Hamilton is LEGIT and Morey ONCE AGAIN found a diamond in the rough.

Both Lin and Bev should be benched they arent fit for the starting PG position. Imagine if we still had Lowry and Dragic we would look be dangerous team for sure :(
