I think it would be a lot easier if you just admit Lin is a better PG. Instead of annoying LOF and true ROX fans with your ridiculous claim. The numbers and stats done lie. JLin just doesn't fit well with Harden therefore he's 6th man.
I am a Lin Fan dude. And the critism is because I analyze his game and demeanor to T. So don't give me that bs. I just point out that Lin is not as good as Pat Bev as of late and is losing his composure even in garbage time.
I agree that a lot of Lin's turnovers and miscues look really ugly and look like crap from a high schooler and not an NBA player. But from another perspective, can a scrub high schooler or D-Leaguer ever score 30+ points against the Lakers, Spurs, Sixers, or get a triple double, or lead a winning streak, etc etc.? It seems the ugliness of some what he does on the court always overshadows what he has done or what he could still do. One ugly turnover is still one turnover. The effect of Lin throwing away the ball in an "ugly" manner is the same as one of Dwight's TOs losing the ball in traffic, or Harden's TOs while isoing and driving against 3 defenders. You can razz Lin if he does actually have 7 turnovers every single night and doesn't do anything positive. But the fact is, he doesn't, his 2-3 turnovers look really uglier than Dwight and James' 3.5 turnovers apiece, but it's much the same as an acrobatic layup or a short boring jump shot -- both count for 2 points. The Rockets seem to be finding their identity with Harden and Howard and the rest of the team slowly finding their roles and it doesn't really matter in the overall scheme of things if Lin gets his minutes or not as long as the team is successful correct? If you really hate obnoxious Lin fans, it doesn't make sense to 1. keep baiting them because all they do is defend him unreasonably 2. keep trashing Lin unfairly because he is a good guy and does not deserve the crap 3. judge him on how he looks when he plays, instead judge him on his actual effect on the game. ergo - if he has potential fine, if he really has no effect on the game, like against the Kings when the starters did most of the work, then simply ignore him
So if Lin had scored 5 pts, zero assist and 2 rbs compared to Bev scoring 11 pts, 3 assists, 3 rbs in the last game, Bev is not as good as Lin as of late. Good logic.
You forgot to mention the fact that Rox had the last game and Lin had garbage minute duties. But look at the Sunday game agains the Suns.. Bev came up big to help with the Win. Bev makes big shots in crunch time as of late and he is the better player. That might change though.
I think people are knee-jerking a bit where Lin is concerned and that he will ultimately bounce back (it's why I don't have the balls to drop him in fantasy) -- but using a game like last night's where he racked up the vast majority of those stats in garbage minutes is not really the strongest rebuttal.
True. But then again, a majority of his minutes came in garbage time, so he can't really do anything about that
maybe there r some out there who feel that PB shd b paid ard the same as Lin, but value is not just tangibles, nowadays u gotta include intangibles such as global market value, media value etc. As lin is currently the only asian player in the nba plus he made that linsanity streak in NY, he remains a media topic which shld command more value than PB which the media has not much to write abt. Salary is one thing, winning championships is another. Melo is a good example...
bottom line is bball is a team game & theres no perfect team & life is never meant to be fair. when beard or parsons gets injured, lin is the next scoring option will try to step up as he has previously shooting record 9 3pters in that loss to sixers. to be fair he tries but whether hes worth his salary is subjective.

I think some fans are losing sight of a future truth... we NEED Lin to shine off the bench to go deep in the playoffs. In a hopefully multitude of long match ups against the big bad best in the West (not to be confused with the pathetically weak in the East of course), we need Lin to come off the bench as that instant offensive spark when Howard and Harden have their inevitable lulls. Realize this and try to cheer him to do well for the TEAM to do well. The only way our bench is going to avoid dying in the playoffs is if Lin, Hamilton, D-Mo/T-Jones, or Casspi/Garcia decides to beast. Now while Hamilton with certainly intriguing against the Kings, it WAS the KINGS we are referring to. You know... basement dwelling and all? Lin has shone he can score and go off like a grenade. We are idiots if we think that's can't help against a team like say the Heat?
The worst part about Lin is when he isnt hitting his shots he lets if effect every aspect of his game...he has been making so many stupid turnovers... He needs to turn it around, especially after we traded AB
