They don't push young stars, which is the problem most of us have with the company. This is the top of the card for the last 8 Wrestlemania's. Batista vs Orton Lesnar vs Taker Bryan vs. Triple H Rock vs Cena Undertaker vs. Punk Lesnar vs Triple H Rock vs Cena Undertaker vs Triple H Punk vs. Jericho Cena vs. Miz (featuring the rock) Undertaker vs. Triple H Orton vs. Punk HBK vs Taker Batista vs Cena Jericho vs. Edge Orton vs Triple H HBK vs. Taker Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show Undertaker vs Edge Orton vs Cena vs Triple H HBK vs. Flair Cena vs HBK Undertaker vs. Batista From 03-05 they pushed a bunch of people (Cena,Batista,Orton,Edge,JBL) since then Punk and Bryan are really the only ones. It's the same s*** every year. Bryan being new is one of the things that makes him so popular.
I don't even have a problem with how they book young stars BUT.. Bryan was pushed just fine the first 11 months of the year. When you are having the best matches on RAW and SD week in and out for 11 months you should be rewarded with the best match. Not Batista, Not Rock, etc. This is what Punks famous promo is all about and a big reason he is at home right now.
Going off of this, I realize I'm probably in the minority, but as a year-round WWE fan, I don't really dig "Wrestlemania season." All the stuff that I'm invested/interested in gets put to the side to build up these part-timers that I'm suddenly supposed to care about because I remember them from "back in the day" and feuds that aren't going to matter on April 7th. I respect Undertaker, but there's absolutely nothing compelling about him creaking around for 6 weeks and getting pin (especially over Lesnar, who should be insanely protected). Bryan and Cena are the only two wrestlers that would make me interested in an Undertaker match in 2014.
random thoughts they gotta add daniel bryan and make it a triple threat somehow.. nothing but respect for the undertaker but if your gonna wrestle one time a yr, call it a day… hopefully cm punk comes back glad hogan is back
I just started watching again recently... Why is Bryan so popular?? He doesnt seem like he has the best in ring ability (seems like he kicks far too much), does he even have a finisher??? And his mic skills are probably average at best. Is he just a product of the "Yes" slogan?
I'm sorry, but as long as you start your statement like this, you don't deserve to be taken seriously.
His in ring ability is great, but he does kick to much lol! Mic skills are meh, and I would say about 50% of his popularity has to do with the Yes chant. He is fun to watch but personally I think he is a tad overrated.
I think you are strongly under rating his mic skills. That promo on RAW after the Kane match was strong
His popularity is the fact he works harder than anyone in the company often wrestling two matches every tv taping. And is the genuinely nicest guy you will meet in the WWE besides maybe Foley. It's pretty obvious he's lived and breathed pro wrestling from a very young age coming up through all the Indys in ROH and all the good Japan promotions
I think that the Batista angle is about to get a bit better, from what i hear he is about to turn heel... and Batista is really easy to hate!
What's the point of even turning him heel? As long as it's him and Orton that match is going nowhere good. They have to force another element in there, most of us want Bryan, but they certainly have to add somebody.
Idk man, an entire crowd booing with passion is what wrestling promotors dream about... It doesn't really matter how they get there.
How would two heels (which almost always fails) facing off for the strap be better? I wish Punk would show up and talk some ****
