Endeavor isn't selling very well, but we have one customer that comes in every day and drinks a few; we may take off the draft and keep in the bottle, either way it will always be there. We also order special 6 packs or cases for individuals that want something different. This month we have 58 beer and wine choices but we're always open to suggestions. We modify our selection every month or so.

    Thx, Jake's Management

Thank you, we're working hard to get it right; hope to have the Patio 80" projection screens on Comcast shortly. Every HDTV in the new Patio Room has Comcast or Direct TV individually available.

    Thanks, Jake's Management

We will keep it at least in a bottle; this is for you:

Endeavour is a double IPA. The color is deep amber with a light, creamy head. The nose starts off with a touch of citrus but then turns decidedly into peaches. The taste starts off with creamy malt resulting from the pale 2 row and caramel malts and Saint Arnold yeast. The hop bitter starts low then builds to a crescendo, but always maintains a balance even in its big finish. The hop flavor continues to be peaches, an interesting manifestation of the Columbus, Simcoe and Centennial hops.

This beer is best enjoyed at 45° or even a little warmer. Though the recipe and style indicate this beer to be enjoyed fresh, we expect this beer to develop interestingly over the years.

    Specifications

    Original Gravity: 1.078
    Color: Deep Amber
    Bitterness: 76 IBU
Alcohol Content: By volume - 8.9%

    Awards:
•Silver Medal, World Beer Cup, Imperial India Pale Ale, 2012

    Thanks, Jake's Management

Had a great time on the patio at Jake's last night. Ate an old favorite (the Hot Cajun Sausage sandwich) for the first time since the new guys took over; it was fantastic.

Can't remember his name (Steve, maybe?) but the manager on duty last night was great getting the sound matched up and everything. Real nice guy, too, and an obvious big Rockets fan.

We have 27 HDTV's; we can put Rockets sound on in the main room and/or in the Patio Room with numerous TV's showing the Rockets. Tuesday nights and Friday nights we have live music in the Patio Room and we have a special live comedy night tomorrow night, Thursday the 27th. Other than those nights and those times, we do our best to accommodate our Clutch Fans with broadcasts and sound. We are still waiting for our wiring and Comcast expert to get the sound and picture selection corrected on our covered Patio which seats 16 outdoors and has two 80" projection screens.

    Thank you, Jake's Management

Unless I'm missing some kind of "underground" lingo here; I'm pretty sure we have all the KETCHUP you may ever want, plus some. In fact, just recently we switched from filling ketchup and mustard containers to supplying large, individual, ketchup and mustard brand containers. We can also get you relish, three kinds of pickle sauce, regular mayonnaise, red mayonnaise, fresh cut pico do gallo, handmade and prepared ranch or jalapeno ranch dressing, blue cheese, BBQ sauce, wing sauce, jalapeno sauce, bean sauce, teriyaki sauce, tomato sauce, au jus, horseradish sauce, balsamic vinaigrette sauce, honey mustard sauce, Italian dressing, oil and vinegar, pizza sauce, 5 pepper blend sauce; and on just about every table in a bucket besides salt and pepper, is A-1, Lea & Perrins Worcestershire, Heinz 57, etc. etc. Maybe we were so busy making sure our customers have about 40 different sauces and items that can be added to a sandwich that we forgot to put out the KETCHUP.

Normally the simple yellow mustard and the simple red KETCHUP containers are located next to the Coke machine dispenser at the walk-up counter, and if they are not there, we will put more out or please ask us and we will get you KETCHUP!
We’ve been criticized for many a thing, including sandwiches that are too healthy and not greasy enough, or too much or too little cheese whiz, or not enough beef, or too spicy or not spicy enough; but being criticized or having somebody telling fans to "beware" because we serve only mustard and not having KETCHUP is a new one on us. If we have it in the kitchen, we’ll prepare it and serve it anyway you like, including a grilled KETCHUP sandwich.

    Thank you, Jake’s Management

Lol, I was making fun of one of the posters for not asking yall to put on the game audio and then came on here to complain about it. Don't worry, every time I have been to jake's it's been a great experience.

I was having fun replying to no KETCHUP! And we actually did have someone Yelp us a few months back saying they had to "lower" our star rating in their review because our food was just too "healthy" tasting; then another one that gave us a bad review because our Philly just wasn't "greasy" enough. I wish I could find that person and assure them we can put all the grease they want on a sandwich and then some!!!

    Too funny, thanks.

We really appreciate that comment. It has taken the entire 17 months since we've owned the place to get the food where we want it. And we constantly strive to make it better, fresher, and with more selection. For instance, ground hamburger meat has skyrocketed in price and the quality is not that good, therefore we starting serving ground chuck. As of today, we've upgraded to a blend of brisket and ground chuck, fresh, individually wrapped and sealed, not frozen. The taste is fantastic, but the price is almost twice as much as ground round. We strive to provide upgraded foods, beef, and chicken, nothing frozen; nothing pulled out of a box and served. We even cut our own Pico and our queso is a huge undertaking and process to prepare. One of the few things we serve straight off a shelf is Marie's Super Blue Cheese (no preservatives, gluten free); if we can't recreate a taste that I think is the best there is, or if a food service can't provide us with a taste we think is the best out there, we'll pay extra at Kroger or HEB to get you a great product! Right now, the only things we serve that are frozen (out of +/- 100items) are cream cheese stuffed Jalapeno's and Mozzarella cheesesticks...we can't make them as good as the frozen one's.

We also recently added a sweet jalapeno bread and butter pickle that is outstanding if you like that taste. They don't fry up as well as our fresh dills, but they are incredible tasting on a sandwich.

In the next month or so, our new menu will be introduced, same as the old with some new stuff including taco's and hot dogs (9" select Hebrew National) served at all times.

And please remember, our philosophy is you don't have to order it, as is, on the menu; if it's in the kitchen we can prepare it any way you like. I'll keep pumping money into the place as long as it looks good and taste's good and you'all appreciate what we're doing to try and make it better for you.

Give us help, give us criticism, tell us what you like and don't like, tell us what food, beer and alcohol you want, and we'll do our best to provide. Webpage, menu's, and all signage, and a bunch of stuff for the better are being updated and implemented soon.

    Thanks, Jake's Management

Love the place man. Stopped in for a liquid lunch/hockey game last Friday. The Canucks who ordered Maker's Mark to celebrate were hopefully charged double.

We have a walk-up service counter for food and alcohol, no waiter's. However, we bring your food to you during lunch and we try and serve as much as we can at the tables depending on how busy we are and how many people we have working at that time.

Eventually we'll incorporate more table service.

    Thank, Jake's Management

That was a rare Friday. The Canadians called last week because they stumbled upon the new Patio Room, and asked if they could come watch the Hockey game early Wednesday. Then they liked it so much, they asked if they could come back with more for Friday's hockey game. So we accommodated them, they had a blast and got their Maker's Mark. I would imagine by lunchtime it was pretty loud in there!

    Thanks, Jake's Management

    You just got LosTrollosed.

And quit bumping this thread, some of us transplants miss the place a great deal. ;)

Glad to hear your attention to the food you serve, but I hope the #1 is still the same as it ever was...
