D-mo should take Jones spot. Better team defense and shooting!

The Rockets have already won some statement games, the wins over SA, GS and POR come to mind.

Also, while it would be great if the Rockets beat all the games against non playoff teams, I cannot see that happening.

This is a game Asik could come in and prove his worth. Maybe coming in to roughen up Blake, Jordan, and their backups.

I doubt they win tonight. It won't be because the Rockets aren't a great team, as much as its the match ups against the Clippers. They are a big team with some really good shooters. I think if the game gets ugly, I would bring back the twin towers and try to neutralize Griffin. People here think he's overrated but when CP3 went out, he carried that team.

Also, Crawford for whatever reason knows how to defend Harden. Really takes him out of his game.

Can Rox's really come out of the West? Can they beat OKC in a 7 game series?

A TOP THREE defense when Beverley is on the court? I had no idea!

The Rockets usually play jump shooting teams well. They just need Harden to have a good game tonight.

im still here, when I talk about basketball its about playoff type games like last night. Was my thread 100% right NO. BUt as of now the jury is still out if a PF that can play D, score, set picks, rebound well next to ASIK wouuldve been a OK choice. We have to wait for awhile to get this guy next to howard due to contracts.

Its not saying asik is bettre than howard itys just about cap and being able to upgrade other NEEDS center was not a NEED this summer. $22mill is alot of money, we complain about our PFs PG spots etc guess what that could have all been fixed. Right now we have to hope HOWARD can get us over the hump. we were 3rd seed right back at 6th now and guess what blazers, okc, clippers schedule get way easier while ours get way harder

ASIK is sick the dude controls the paints, sets HARD screens, doesnt take plays off, is elite at hedging up to guards. Center was never a weakness of our last year. Now we have a weak spot at PF and just so happnes the teams we are scared of (clippes & OKC) have BIGS that we cant handle. Put a SOLID PF next to asik last year vs OKC & $16mill to upgrade spots like PG wings etc in playoffs and we wouldve beat OKC and could this year. Jury is still out home boy.

^^^^^and if you move LIN with a first or selling high with jones this year you clear$10 more mill. which would put us a grand total of $32mill to spend
