Does that mean Lin is not really expensive? The extra money only Lin can make for the Rockets Les can allow Morey to SPLASH it on Luxury Tax when we wanted to! Having Lin as a basketball player that can play at least decent basketball is just a bonus! lolz.

Faith I can see it because of its religious root. And lots of names are religion influenced.

    But Trust?

English as second language guys from Asia lack a native ear for what rings harmoniously in English; e.g., the love of usages like the God-awful "Haren", or the tiresome "Mcfail".

Perhaps it's trust as in money.
    (i.e. trust fund)

It's a play on words... they meant both meanings.

I'm betting Trust's parents meant his name as religious as well. Trust in the Lord. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. And so on. There's a lot of talk about trust in the Bible and in the church.

LOL I doubt Asians came up with those names.

McFail? Must be a Minnesota Asian fan then, since it was when McHale was there.

Probably originated from "Faith", but used "Trust" for a guy then?

    And your point?

It's just a name. If it doesn't ring harmoniously in English so what? I have seen many African or Indian names in which I could not possibly pronounce. So what?

Do not start another war at every opportunity. "Haren" and "Mcfail" has got nothing to do with someone named "Trust".

Yeah. I guess so. Just never heard this one before, so it sounds funny. Especially how Clutch puts it with Lin together.

I once met a Taiwanese guy, his name was stone.

When we introduced each other, he said "I'm stoned, nice to meet you"

At first I thought it was a joke and I laughed with him until I realized he was dead serious #awkwardmoment

I guess a lot of names in Asia makes sense in their own language, but when you translate them directly to English and made it your English name?.... well
