go look up Crawford's age, and he's starting for the clips..... it's all bout how you take care of your body.
1. Wait, what? Who is friends with Granger? 2. Per Wikipedia, Danny Granger was offered admission to Yale. Also graduated with a civil engineering degree from New Mexico. Morey loves his geeks.
I'd be hesitant. I've always liked Granger, but he's gone downhill so much lately. Also, with Hamilton now, do you really need (or have room) for him? Offense - Granger >> Hamilton Defense - Hamilton >>>>>>>>> Granger I'd probably give the nod to Hamilton.
Oh they got a second now that makes sense... I couldn't figure out any salary cap reason... It doesn't really hurt to be under the floor
Hamilton was not known as a good defender in Denver. The jury is still out on that one. I'm curious why you rate Granger so low. Was his defense that bad on the Pacers?
Hamilton has never been a good defender. He's too slow laterally to be that guy. Albeit Granger probably is just as slow ATM, but Grangers been a very good defender for awhile now.
One thing Marc Stein mentioned is that Philly would have loved to keep Granger if he was also on board with staying for the rest if the season and get some minutes in while recovering. Stein said that Philly was interested in using Granger's Bird Rights to explore sign and trade options in the summer. So, it seems that Hinkie knows that there is a team who is interested in paying something (at least a 2nd round pick) for a Granger sign and trade. It would make sense that this team that Hinkie know about is Houston.
Most likely Greg Smith since his contract is for the rest of the season only and is deep in the depth chart behind 4 other bigs. Greg has also had lingering knee injuries for a long time. But it really doesn't matter a whole lot which non-rotation guy you cut.
^ agreed. with the emergence of D-Mo and the resurrection of Asik, the walking injured foul machine would be the first option to go.
If we had a choice, we should try to get him for a backup 2, and keep Hamilton at backup 3. Garcia and Casspi are too inconsistent for us, and it also allows us to keep Harden fresh (not having to play as many minutes) during the final push and in the Playoffs. Lineup and Depth (if we can sign Granger): PG: Bev/Lin SG: Harden/Granger SF: Parsons/Hamilton PF: Jones/D-Mo C: Howard/Asik A legit 10-man rotation that we could use for games, if of course, McHale is willing to play 10 guys per night.
