That's really interesting about Murray not talking to Ramis ever since "Groundhog Day" because of differences on set as to how Murray should approach his character. I read that Murray wanted to take a more philosophical approach to his character whereas Ramis just wanted him to deliver the jokes with the typical Murray wit. But, for something like that to come between them to where they basically stop talking to each other and quit being friends, I guess I don't understand that. Ramis talked about it in interviews and it didn't seem like he really got it, either. I don't think Bill Murray probably felt particularly great about learning that Ramis died without them ever attempting to reconcile. He has to live with that. But, I think what we have discovered about Bill is he doesn't lead a normal life in any sense of the word. I just can't figure out if there was actual animosity there from Bill...or he just moved on from Ramis and the friendship by cutting him off. I guess all the tension on the "Groundhog Day" set actually did ruin their friendship. Ramis mentioned Bill was almost tyrannical-like on that set....showing up late and being in a foul mood most of the time. It's just a shame that, after all those two guys did together, it ended that way between them.
I don't know if they necessarily reconciled, but they did see each other in the past few years... Harold Ramis dead at 69
