We really can't waive Garcia. He's got a player option for next year. Would have to waive Casspi or Smith at this point....possibly Covington or Daniels.
Yep. He could play some minutes at 3 if we wanted a bigger lineup, but I think he'd mainly be a stretch 4. So I wonder if he'd bump Casspi off the team and take his role. Tough call because I haven't seen much of him this year.
Granger is still improving. He'd get one of Morey's famous 2-year deals leaving him with time to get healthy and contribute at an even higher level next season. If he really shapes up, you can deal Parsons all the easier next season (hypothetical) - the year we should really expect some moves. Flexibility. No risk. You do it if you can. You don't want this guy to recover and become a role player on the Clippers or Spurs.
no way. Greg Smith, Daniels ...or maybe Garcia, but i think the fact that he has a player option for next year means we'll keep him.
You're right. Totally failed. It would be nice if he could sign someone away from those glamour teams like LA. He had that minor free agent signing this summer. What's that guys name? was it Juwan Howard? Wish he could get a big name.
Spot on as usual, besides we don't have any young superstars on our team to elevate his game either... ....... ....... .......
Surprised nobody's borough up the Rashard Lewis comparison. Guys Granger if the Rox can get him is a no brainer. You want to see Dwight back to his Orlando ways, you throw a healthy Granger in there alongside Parsons and you've got the most potent offense in the league... If they don't already have that. I think Smith is an obvious cut, and one of D-mo/ Jones get a cutback on minutes still keeping depth at the big spots with everyone healthy.
Cant believe y'all are sold on Hamilton. Sure he has upside. But you guys do this every year with players like, Jeff Adrien, Stephen Graham, Gerald Green, James White, Chase Budinger, Terrance Williams, Mike Harris, Dan Langhi, and on, and on, and on, and on... Get over it. It's time to win or at least get playoff experience. Not develop guys in Morey's incubator. We're in the home stretch. We still need assets/stocks but we also need veterans. Let's beat some ass this year, man.
I think the chances are close to 0 that Granger is signing a two year deal with anyone right now, unless they are giving him real money for next year. Anyway, I'd be more piqued by this news if it was someone other than Aldridge reporting it.
Chase Budinger was a solid role player. Williams obviously had a ton of talent, and Hamilton did something last night that we haven't seen all year from our wings. He played good defense. I think he will be a solid 15 to 20 minute player for us this year.
