When it comes to staying awake to watch these late night West Coast games that the Rockets have been playing the last week or so? Never was a problem for me until the last couple of years or so. But now I just can’t hang. I’m out like a light before halftime. I managed to wake up last week during the Warriors’ game in OT, but usually I’m knocked out on the couch until 3-4 AM. And just in time to go to bed and find my 10 month old daughter sprawled out in my spot. I woke up this morning checking everywhere for info on DH’s knee injury. Glad to see he came back in and had a solid game.

This isn't exactly game action or roster moves related, so I thought the Hangout was the place to be.

I stayed up to watch last night and will likely do the same tonight, of course, I will be about as active as the Walking Dead tomorrow morning, but, c'est la vie.

I've been able to hang lately, but that is likely due to a lighter workload right now. I'm usually busy from the 1st of the month until about the 20th of the month and then after that it's catch-up time. So I can afford to sleep in later and arrive to work later.

But there have been a few games that start at 9:00 or later where I had every intention of watching all the way through, but ended up falling asleep on the couch.

I actually looked at the schedule last night to check, and we only have one other late game this year. April 8 @ LAL, 9:30. So after tonight things will get better and I can start going to sleep at 9:30-10:00 again.

The couch is comfortable. You're tired. You have a DVR. Save the game. Get some rest on the bed.

I made it to about 3 minutes left in the game. Would have tuned out sooner but wanted to see Canaan get some action. I'll be in for the long haul tonight assuming it's close.

I hate these West Coast late starts

I have to be up for work at 4am so needless to say I have been tired these last couple weeks.

I have been able to stay up for most, usually doze off during half time and get up mid 3rd qtr. HAHA My wife calls me crazy for staying up to watch the games. I call it dedicated

I don't sleep much so it doesn't effect me, my son however didn't inherit this trait, so it's a lot harder on him, especially during school nights. It does interfere with my Conan time though...:(

I hit record at the start of the 4th last night and went to bed. I'll watch the 4th before tonight's game. If the game had been close I probably would have powered through.

I can't put the recliner into second gear though or it's next stop snoozeville.

Rockets will keep me awake irrespective of how tired I am. Anything else and I'll go to sleep - even if it is the most entertaining movie or the GF wanting to just chat in bed

    You aren't a real fan!!! :eek::eek:

Kidding, kidding. I stay up to watch all of the games. I stopped watching last nights with about 5 minutes left though because it was already over. Can't wait until tonight's game. I already know I won't be getting much done at work tomorrow lol

I miss the people and food in Texas...but I will never move East of the Pacific time zone. I absolutely love that NFL comes on at 10am on Sundays, college football and basketball starts at 9am (sometimes earlier). I love that CST and EST Rockets games are usually over by 7-7:30ish...which gives me the rest of the evening to do other stuff. Most cable systems that I've had while living here offer a West and East Coast feed...so we get to see all of the new tv shows that start 7pm Eastern at 4pm. Pacific time zone rulez!

Greatest West Coast Rockets game I ever stayed up until the conclusion for while living in Texas: Ralph Sampson's last second win in the playoffs over the Lakers. I was never so happy to be hella tired in school the next day.

I've been able to stay up for every single one, last night i decided to go to sleep after Harden hit 43. Good to wake up and know we didn't blow the lead, and that Jordan Hamilton is putting Casspi on suicide watch.

I watched it all last night. I stay up for all the games. I do this because I'd be kicking myself come July or August for not doing so. (no comcast avail)
