We are quietly developing a very nice garbage time group that will surely push the point differential.

After that, Casspi shouldn't get on the court in front of Hamilton.

Oh yea, Casspi nor Garcia are getting that spot again for the rest of the season. Jordan would have to be having a terrible game for McHale to make that move to put them back in. Is it me or does Casspi look like one of those youth basketball players who is excited to have the ball and jacks it up immediately?

To be fair, Casspi can do everything Hamilton showed in the highlight. He just can't do it consistently. It remains to be seen if Hamilton can be relied upon consistently. Good start though for sure.

Casspi making that block Hamilton made? Eh, not sure I believe that.

JHam has a nice stroke ... Casspi's is mechanical and many times it seems like it's broken. Casspi is a better passer but a lot of times he believes that he is better than he is in reality. He tries one-handed hooks, step back jumpers... Moves which shouldn't try ... some times ball goes in but ... I want to see JHam more so as judge his defense.

Casspi's shot selections are more questionable. He would shoot an early 3-pointer when his teammates were still behind.

His form in shooting at any distance is not as good as Hamilton's.

His only advantage is he's two inches taller.

Check their career average. Both average 0.2 blocks/game. In Hamilton's best season he averages 0.3 blocks in 17.2 minutes. Casspi averaged 0.3 blocks in 11.7 minutes in his best season.

Hamilton's block last night was eye popping for sure. But let's not get carried away here.

Like many including me have said, let's wait some time before we judge Hamilton.

That block was enough to sell me on the guy. No one at the wing position on our roster could have made that play. We are going to need that physical-ness that he brings more than Aaron's shooting.

It's not that I'm labeling him a great shot blocker now, it's that the athleticism involved in making that play was greater than anything Casspi or Garcia could do. As Asik gets healthier that defense in that second unit should improve. Maybe we can do a better job of holding onto leads.

If he shows that he has the athleticism to block shots like that, yet averages less blocks than Casspi, what does that really tell you? Athleticism means nothing if you don't use it properly.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled by his debut and hope Mauley has found another gem here. But I've learned my lessons to avoid knee jerk reaction just so I won't be disappointed later.

    Stromile Swift? T-Will?

And knee jerk reaction is through the roof right now. Some people prefer Hamilton over Granger. Really? After 1 game?

Exactly, he looked good last night but one game doesn't tell you much. Lets hope he continues to play well.

    Man you guys and stats....

Stats don't tell the entire story... True about the time, but Casspi doesn't come close to playing the D that Hamilton played last night.

Found some decent Jordan Hamilton videos on Youtube.

How uncomfortable is he in this interview? Watch his hands. I guess I would be too with these horrible "hosts"

Luckily the NBA isn't proposing a penalty for the "N word"

This is one of the worst ejections I have ever seen. I'm shocked he was not more upset.

I can't tell if this is the right Jordan Hamilton

I hope he can resist a closed fist from now and until the end of the Rox season. If he had taken a swing with an open and hand it would have been nothing really.

This is turning out to be a GREAT trade - he just needs to keep the same intensity as last night and that's a significant step forward for HOU.
