I liked Worrell's comment: "He came running in all the way from the corner to make that block". Not sure what Bill was watching.
One thing to note is Denver had a log jam at the 3. This season they had Wilson Chandler, Darrell Arthur and Quincy Miller. Last season they had Gallanari, Corey Brewer, Quincy Miller and Wilson Chandler (who got minutes at the 4). So, kind of like the log jam the Rockets had at the PF position last season, some PFs the Rockets traded away are bound to be useful players (Morris, Thomas Robinson), and their lack of minutes may not necessarily indicate a lack of skill.
Except the Nuggets were -16 when he was on the floor which is better than his previous games of -17 and -30.
+/- stats are not a good metric. Look at the +/- of their entire starting lineup if you don't believe me, they are all (-) and the bench is all (+).
I don't know. I saw Jimi when he toured for that LP. Can Hamilton play a mean left-handed Strat? ;-)-
Morley is the man! OK, i will not fully sign-up for the J.Ham crew yet. It happened to Gar3ia, Cass3 . . . they were awesome before, now, we wanted them replaced... hope J.Ham will make me a believer . . . all the time.
Sounds like AB agreed to this trade for him and his family's best interest etc. as he deserved to play minutes especially in a contract year. This can benefit all parties if Hamilton can deliver the goods this season and Canaan if necessary
His skill sets plays well on this team. He has gotten better each season he has played in the NBA, but there were some many players (some at star level) in front of him at Denver. When he playing time if he did anything wrong at all he was quickly benched. His confidents was shot. I think this is a new start for him and contract year as well. If doesn't happen right now for him - it will cost him a lot of money. He can / will play even better than he did against the Kings. If the coaching staff gives him the playing time he will produce (he can score A LOT of points fast & rebound at high rate) PLUS he is a TEAM player, too. A true "top shelf role player" - Hide and watch. I was giddy like a school girl at the tradedead line. I still can't believe we got him for AB (3rd string PG), too.
Just found this on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qvTCKFvxpw, sorry don't know how to post vids...
AB, of course, was a shadow of his former self after the initial ankle injury...So having Aaron here, reinventing himself, albeit in a different role, has been special. It's been a win win deal and besides he'll always be a Rocket. That said, watching Morey parlay Brooks into Hamilton has been another tasty spectacle. He's already the swing man this team needs in the rotation (Downtown J, athleticism, good - very good D)......with upside. With open looks, in the flow, playing with a true post presence... and a budding superstar .....Toss in the aforementioned fact that he was buried in Denver. And came out after his sophmore season. Jordan's young, but knows the NBA game... Good overlay.
