Why is that? My wife is a lawyer and we met while she was in law school. What an ignorant statement to make.
I don't care what he's said in the past, if you're pounding your chest saying "hahaha my favorite player is better than Raymond Felton" things are bleak.
Well to be fair, an ignorant wife might not have known to turn Felton into the police. She probably knows how assets are divided up when there is a divorce, and this will only help her case. For his sake, he probably should've married a dumb girl like most NBA-ers, who doesn't mind their husband cheating. He's on his last NBA contract, she's finishing up law school. I'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing.
Riiight. NY is infringing on Americans' rights to threaten their spouses with firearms. Totally insane.
While I do agree that she probably did this for her own self interests, that doesn't mean she had to be a lawyer to do it. Any dumb bimbo could have done the same thing just to get him in trouble or get more money, etc. out of him in the divorce. Every state treats divorces differently. Assets, alimony (if that state allows it), etc. are divided differently. For his sake, he should have gotten his **** out of the apt at the time they separated instead of partying with other women.
She didn't report him for the weapon while she was married to him. She didn't convince him to register or turn in the weapon while married to him. Now she is seeking a divorce she chooses to turn him in for that. So she wasn't personally worried while living in the same house as him and his weapon but now she is out and seeking a divorce she chooses to turn him in. SMH
Yup.. so we agree that he married the wrong woman. While she didn't have to be a lawyer to do what she did, I don't think it is typical for women to go to these lengths. I can't help but think her knowledge of the law did factor into her decision making. As much as an idiot as Felton is, she seems more like a b**** than a victim.
wow. I was going to stay out of this, but this last statement is incredible. The NY Daily News is reporting that Felton waved the gun around "angrily," and you're suggesting that she's a b**** for preemptively trying to protect herself? EDIT: (1) IF THAT IS TRUE, then she has very good grounds for taking this action. (2) EVEN IF THAT IS NOT TRUE, Felton has still committed a felony. Here's the link to the Daily News article: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/raymond-felton-knick-point-guard-charged-weapons-possession-article-1.1700808 "Felton would wave the weapon around when he became irate — although he never pointed it at his wife, the source close to the case indicated." EDIT: TO REITERATE, I think folks should think twice before jumping in and making definitive comments about any of this. just my $.02
We don't know if that's what really happened. Edit: it sounds like from the quote she is saying Felton would wave his gun angrily when he gets irate. Sounds like things that allegedly already happened. Her preemptive action to protect herself would be to stay away from him, if she really felt so threatened. Aren't they already separated? What is she doing at his house? or is it her house? So was he angrily waving the gun at her last night? Or **** that happened before? If it was last night why didn't she say that? Sounds like shes digging up dirt (as fked up as they were, if true) to effectively end his career and send him to jail. Feltons an idiot for what he did but I don't buy the whole she was scared for her life bullsht.
Lol calm down man. You are basically contradicting yourself. Ever heard of hearing both sides of the story before making a judgement?
