    I don't know.

He has one skill and that is to hit 3's. If he can hit 3's in Houston he will have minutes made for him.

Reddick is a superior player. Bigger, more athletic, bigger repertoire of shots.

The only one he wouldn't play over in that group is Bev. He can definitely play over the other two

I would absolutely take a flyer on him if there is room on the roster for him.

No one ever complained about having too many good shooters on the bench.

    Daniels is bigger.
    Daniels is a better defender.
    Daniels runs the floor better.
Daniels is more familiar with the Rockets system.

    Daniels is better.

I don't think the Rockets giving Jimmer a look is impossible, but I don't see it happening.

Jimmer would get minutes regardless of his defense if he could keep shooting 48% from 3's.... but that wouldn't happen. The more you take, the more that % goes down.

no way we pick up, if he was drafted in 2009, that would have been a possibility.....

Don't even bother thinking about it. If you know the Rockets you know the rotation is hardly changing at all.

Daniels has never played a game in the NBA.

    I don't even want Jimmer.

Would love to pick this guy up. Daniels isn't joining this roster any time soon. After they signed him they sent him immediately down to the D-League. They signed him so they could keep him for next year. Canaan isn't going to get much playing time from McHale who doesn't really like rookies anyways. We don't have a player that is shooting over 35% from 3's so he would be the perfect pickup. I am not sure who we would cut, maybe Greg Smith?? I would definitely look into it though.

A team that barely runs plays has a "system" now?

Also, your only point is Troy Daniels is a better athlete. But that means nothing, especially on a team that relies on 3pt shooting. Jimmer would get WIDE OPEN looks every nite playing with us. We need a JJ Redick-esque player coming off the bench, especially when our shots aren't falling

Jimmer is far, far away from being any where near as quick as Brooks lol.

    From the comments lol

"bring him to houston so he & lin can come off the bench together, then everybody can just whine on the same page about both not being used properly."

Sign this dude up for the rest of the year as insurance. What do you have to lose?

We have to cut a player in order to sign him

Sure, he's a one-trick pony but isn't that what we kinda need right now? Name one player on our team who can shoot 50% from the 3-pt range? If your name isn't Harden, Howard, nor Parsons, most likely, your role in McHales's rotation is to spot up and hit threes.

Would you rather stick with Canaan then give Jimmer a shot? It's not like we're giving up assets to get him.

I'm sure there's some trash at the end of the bench we can give up

yeah. Fredette is shooting almost 50% from 3 this year, and has been very productive in limited minutes. First buyout name that can actually help us down the stretch. He's definitely someone we should look into.
