Charlie, years back, was one of the best spot up shooters I've ever seen. Even comparable to Chris Mullen. He is only 29 years old so it's strange how fast he has declined.

His really not a bad fit. On a team with so much youth he brings a little experience. He's a little of a hot head and willing to kill someone if he has too. That might be a plus on this team of nice guys. He is a legitimate stretch 4. You can't go by this years percentages. He only shot 39 threes so far. But last year he shot 259 threes at 34.5%.

He still young enough. There's just no minutes on a team with Drummond, Monroe and J Smith. Just look at this video from last year.

    I'd sign him.

Reminds me of a smaller version of Bargnani. Has plenty of skills, but rarely managed to translate them into consistently helpful or efficient basketball.

Not sure if it's worth releasing one non-rotation guy for another at this point.

Wouldn't mind him if he got back to his scoring ways, he would provide a good scoring punch off the bench

He struggles to run. That's a problem if he wants to join this team. The way I would handle it is:

"Listen Charlie. If you're willing to compete with our PF's for minutes and commit to an intensive conditioning program, then we have a spot for you."

I wouldn't release Greg Smith unless Charlie's coming here with the commitment it takes to play for a championship contender.

If things go well, he could be a solid piece for us, playing a Horry-esque role.

This would be worse than the Juwan Howard curse.

for him to say he wants to go to the rockets something must be up. We are 3 deep at every spot but PF and I’m open to bringing in any vet PF if it’s just for spot mins for the playoffs or to help teach dmo & jones with their experience. Clippers are loading up now with signing big baby, you have to have bodies to bang with ibaka, griffen, zbo etc in the playoffs.

Asik will do this in playoffs but often because he cant stretch it out. If charlies only vet big stretch 4 out there bring him in. Has potential to be a quality 2nd or 3rd big PF vet signing guy to have on the bench next year. Hes only 29 and we took a chance on 40yr old camby.

Seems like Boris Diaw was thought to have not much left before signing with the Spurs. All I know is the Rockets' 4-spot is terrible and will likely be their undoing.
