I can somewhat agree with that. Would like to see Bridgewaters, Bortles and Manziels pro day though before making a final judgement
Pro day will be huge, If Bridgewater shows off a cannon for an arm. The balance of power could shift dramatically
Well yeah I guess, he's not known for it though. From what I've heard there were people saying he came across as "meek" in his interviews though. That could really hurt his stock. I would rather just steer clear of all of them and see what's available in the second.
Houston needs a quarterback more than anything. McNair will want to be competitive while Andre is still elite. One defender isn't going to solve the problems. Take the smart QB who can run a BOB offense. If Texans feel Schaub can do it, than draft Clowney. I have a feeling the organization will not allow Schaub to be the starter ever again for the fans sake.
You don't get good by reaching for a QB, no matter how many fans want you to do it. Who would you have had them pick last year? EJ Manuel? Geno Smith?
Don't trust "sources" Easy to put out word that he is meek until its your turn to pick in the draft Everyone that puts their name on a Bridgewater piece talks about how the teammates, players etc surround him and are galvanized by him
Neither. Teddy is better than both. The reason he is being pegged as a mid to late first rounder is frame and lack of an elite arm, although his arm is good enough to make every throw. You can draft value all you want, but he would be the best option for Qb unless you can think of a better one?
It's highly unlikely they draft something other than QB with the 1st pick. I'd put the odds at about 99% that we go QB.
Sure, I'll look for it and post it when I find it. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere today.
So you wouldn't want to have drafted a QB no matter what last year, but this year with only slightly better top end QB's it has to be a QB? That doesn't make a lot of sense. Reaching on a QB is reaching on a QB. Reaching on a Chad Henne type with the first pick is every bit as bad as reaching on a Mark Sanchez type.
I read a tweet about Teddy not impressing in his interviews as well. This time if year though, who knows what's true.
i think i saw teddy's interviews described as "aloof"... which surprised the hell out of me. i know he's a great kid.. so perhaps it's someone trying to bring him down.
