The refs were acquired as a throw in on the Dwight Howard signing. We beat the suns because they have no stars. Ya hear that Rick Adelman? You need STARS to win in this league. Least legit sport ever. So what. Morey knows the deal.
What's weird is most of the people in this thread saying PHX got screwed will never say the Rockets got screwed when they do.
Agreed. Not only that, PHX had multiple opportunities after that controversial clear path violation and could not make the plays to seal the game. The lane violation was not controversial, anybody with a brain knows that was on Morris and since the freethrow was made does not matter.
The spirit of a clear path foul is to intentionally foul someone to stop a break. Morris did foul Parsons when he fell down and his back hit Parsons leg. It wasn't intentional but it was a foul nonetheless. In that situation though, what could you call? A regular foul? No, because that stopped a fast break which is the basis of a clear path foul. The Suns got wronged on by a technicality.
I'm talking about specific posters. The same posters who are saying the refs cheated for the Rockets never say the refs cheated the Rockets.
Right?! Those were some ******* lucky ass shots. But I agree with OP, I totally felt that the refs were on our side tonight. I kind of feel bad for the Suns lol.
I'm not a homer at all. I just don't think Parsons (who did make contact with Morris before he tripped) getting the call means the refs stole the game for us. You didn't even know until you saw the replay. You can literally count the "questionable calls" on one hand and all of them had contact. Don't even bring up the multiple lane violation.
You guys want to say the refs helped the rockets, stole the game for the Rockets, or the refs were on our side. Why don't you guys really say what you're saying? That the refs rigged the game and cheated so the Rockets would win? That's what you're saying, and yet it's not because I said it like that.
guys don't be stupid. No one believes the refs 'wanted' the rockets to win this game, nor does anyone believe that the refs wanted the suns to 'lose.' The refs made some terrible calls and missed some other things that should've been called, both of which ended up greatly benefiting Houston more so than Phoenix. The officiating tonight was garbage, and thats indisputable.
The Harden flop wasn't a flop. I swear the defender (Tucker?) was pumping Harden like he had a strap-on on. Dwight's "lane violation" happened just after Morris had his foot in first. I believe Morris false started and Dwight followed him as a natural reaction. Much like the 100m sprint when one false starts the rest follows.
I hope someone uploads CSN's broadcast of the clear path foul which clearly shows Morris rolling into Parsons foot. So many people are claiming on numerous forums that Parsons tripped over his own feet. It's amazing how many people hate the Rockets this year.
