I absolutely believe that, but I'm not calling him this year's Jon Bostic or anything.

Well there is plenty of why if you really look at it. He has a small frame so there are questions about if he can stay healthy, he isn't particularly athletic, he has accuracy concerns on intermediate to deep passes, he doesn't have the strongest arm, and almost all of the tape on him is against weak teams. His brain is pretty much the best thing he's got going for him.

The only QB prospect who gets better on 3rd down, gets better when you blitz him, and gets better when the game is close? Oh so it's just a brain...

The frame issues are completely over blown

He is more than athletic enough

He is very accurate on his intermediate throws, deep throws are something to be left desire but its fixable

Arm is more than strong enough

This is what I meant when I said if the Texans like all three quarterbacks (Teddy, Johnny, and Blake), instead of targeting one with the 1.1 pick one of them may be there in the 2nd round... And they may would have their choice between two of them .

    http://cleveland.cbslocal.com/2014/...dont-see-why-manziel-cant-succeed-in-the-nfl/

Verbatim from what this dude said on January 3rd. Go to 10 minutes in. He says literally, "I haven't watched the tape, I'm just going on what I've heard." Then he goes on to repeat everything from that twitter and more. Calls TB robotic. Take it for what you want; correlate it with other sources.

Don't know anything about this guy, but he might be saying this because of what he's hearing from NFL personnel.

And like I said, group think is group think. His logic has not changed from before which was "You know what people say about guys with big feet," and he outs himself as someone who watched zero film to arrive at his assessment.

Bridgewater better kill his pro day. Demolish it.

I expect to see a cannon for an arm too.

Or we gotta trade back and go defense

That's the reality. Anyone can say whatever they want but if they are not watching a lot of film and they don't give an in depth evaluation that it's probably about selling papers are getting clicks than anything else. I've yet to find someone who has watched a lot film and has written a detailed report come away with anything but Teddy is an overall plus. After they see film they come with "Teddy is the best QB I've seen since Andrew Luck... Teddy is a savant... Teddy has the whole package."

And the most important factor for me is that's what I saw. I have yet to see film that shows Manziel has good pocket presence. It seems like Manziel doesn't like being quartered and when that happens he runs for space. He is great at that so maybe it will work at the next level but I am not sure.

I do believe TB's true playing weight is probably closer to 210 than 214 and that is probably why he stepped out of the running drill. And maybe that is a bit of a concern but he is only a few months shy of 21 and he is lean no doubt but he is strong. There's no baby fat on him at 210 or at 214.

Knocking down the the guy on top is always fun but the bottom line is he still has the most boxes checked by far and unless he runs a Bradyesque 5.4 at proday he should be okay.

I assume that sometimes NFL teams will put out false information and sometimes they don't.

There is nothing that screams elite prospect in Bortles or Manziel

At least you can argue that Bridgewater does everything well (not elite) but his football IQ is elite

His footwork is elite. His pocket presence is elite. His ability to read defenses, pick apart and destroy the blitz is elite. His ability to to throw on the run is elite. That's the problem when comparing him to all of the other guys is he is head and shoulders better than anyone else on the draft board at these things and it makes me think less of them. Bortles is probably a top QB pick in any other draft but after watching TB I see a decent gap.

He is a really likeable guy as you can see in this interview.
