0-2 since he came back and Durant's numbers are down. Westbrick took some questionable shots towards the end of that Clippers game and the ball movement stopped once it entered his hands. This is not what a PG is supposed to do. Trading him for Rondo would have been the smart thing to do had Presti not already lost Harden. Rondo point, Harden shooting guard, and Durant SF - that would be tough to beat.
This always comes up with the Thunder and it's never gonna stop. The Thunder are gonna keep winning games but every time they lose the conversation of "is Westbrook hurting the team more than helping?" is gonna pop up. Then they'll win some more games in dominating fashion and the conversation will switch to "did durant and westbrook finally figure it out?" And the cycle will continue until Westbrook leaves to LA with Kevin Love.
As long as he continues to think he is the man they won't win a title. Him taking more shots than the best offensive player on the planet is inexcusable. Not to say they are worse off with him (in the playoffs good teams can stop one man with no support), but they aren't as good as they need to be.
0-2 vs. the 2 elite teams with him coming back from injury. talk about overreaction. i guess rondo is trash too sine he's averaging 10 ppg shooting 38% with only 7.7 assist per game
They were 20-4 with him in the lineup. They've lost 2 games since he came back and is getting readjusted to the team. They lost to the Heat and Clippers who are pretty good teams. And Durant has averaged 34 PPG and 6.5 assists in the past two games. So don't make stuff up about Durant's numbers being down.
Westbrook is just back from yet another knee surgery. Three in under a year. He is going to get going again. And when he does OKC will be an even tougher out.
Geez just 2 games . Imma come back here when Westbrook has a great game against us It's gonna be you're fault
I disagree. He needs to get out of Durant's way and run the point guard position and play solid D on the other team's PG. If he did that then look out, but it appears he's not going to do that. He's rusty as heck which is understandable but he's still jacking up shots left and right.
Nobody cares how many points Rondo is averaging. He's a point guard. Rondo is at least running the point position and is a walking triple double. Wesbrick is shooting like he's Kobe out there. Most teams don't want their PG jacking up shots like that especially when you have Durant playing at the high level he's at right now.
He's hurting them in the short-term, but when he gets back to his old self and the team gels again, they will be much better than they were without him.
