I think he originally went with Vick because of the experience factor and he could run. But that's just my opinion. That's a question you would have to ask Chip.

It's pretty amazing that in this texans pre draft season, ive had to put the same amount of people on ignore than I've had to for the rest of my time on clutchfans.

I guess I'm just less patient with hearing peoples totally worthless and idiotic arguments. Texans thread has become like the freaking D&D regarding a handful of posters that completely hijack any thread that doesn't coincide with what they ignorantly think is right and blindly defend.

So again,,thanks guys. Thanks for sucking at life...and worst of all, sucking on clutchfans.

4.68 official 40 time. Slower than the 4.5 people were expecting

Has to be a pocket passer, he won't be running away from NFL defenders

Cam Newton ran 4.58 and Aaron Rogers 4.71. Manziel won't leave defenders in his dust, but when defenses drop back, he'll do fine at his speed with that space.

He isn't nearly athletic as Cam and has no where near the size

He will have to be an Aaron Rodgers type

I can't even say Steve Young, Young ran 4.45 in is 40 yard dash

40 time just validates straight line speed but doesn't solidify the total athleticism of a player. Very rarely does a player get to run 40 yards strait down field with no helmet pads and a ball in his hand. Being able to make players miss and stop and accelerate in different directions is more important than a 40 time. And Johnny has a talent level like Vick in that department.

He is no where close to Vick.

    Very laughable assertion lol

When it comes to being illusive and his quickness he is. Closest to him that I have seen anyway. I'll phrase it like that.

That is more accurate. He is close to Vick in terms of quickness, elusiveness and short yard burst but I say close, not that close.

    He's pretty elusive too.

Yeah i thought he'd be faster tbh but he has elite elusiveness and escapability and that's what he's best at.

Goes to show how ridiculous of a specimen Andrew Luck is.

He is pretty similar to Vick actually. He doesn't possess that straight line speed but the ability to make guys miss in space, he is very similar.
