Seattle drafted Christine Michael last year in the 2nd round when they already had two good running backs. Can't always expect to find great running backs at the back of the draft or that go undrafted. Finding running backs like the Texans found Foster is a rare occurrence.

Speaking of Foster. He shuts completely down this past season and we only win 2 games. Now he has a back issue to go along with his other injury concerns and he was an injury prone player coming out of college. I wouldn't put all my eggs in that basket.

The Texans have been drafting for need and getting burned by it for years. It's running backs in this draft with talent and can either be a good 1-2 punch with Foster or replace Foster if necessary that can be had between the 2nd-4th rounds and would possibly be the best players available on the board.

And I would rather them draft a running back in the 2nd over a OT... Especially when we just drafted one in the 3rd last year who didn't play and will be ready to play this year.

Who is the best receiving RB out of this draft class?

That's the one I like the most for BOB's offense.

Probably a dude like Vintavious Cooper, Charles Sims, or Antonio Andrews.

I want D'anthony Thomas and he should be available in the 3rd round.

Oh yes. That guy is a threat every time he touches the ball. Can help in the slot and special teams.

Should be available in the fourth, and probably the fifth or later as well.

    He's a specialist. He simply can't be a 3 down, 20 carry/game back at his size.

Unless you are just stacked, you need to get every down players in the first three or four rounds.

Right. Just like reggie bush is undersized and so is darren sproles. Electric players that can find ways into the endzone and have speed will always find a way to get on the field. Secondly any running back we draft this year is not going to be a 20 carry a game back. However, you can find 20 touches for him with runs, receptions, and returns.

He's projected to go in the middle 3rd round in several mocks I've read, and this team needs play makers on both sides of the ball and special teams period.

I'll bet you he's there in the 4th.

And the Texans have 1 running back with a ganked up back and a whole lot of miles on the odometer. They absolutely have to plan for the possibility that Foster is done, and they have nothing else. Whatever else they get, they need a 3 down workhorse type back. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

I was thinking Thomas might be there around the 5th-6th round. No way I would draft him before then unless my running back core was already set.

If he's there in the 4th id love to take him. Don't want him in the 3rs because Id like shayne skov or another ILB.

Jeremy Hill would be nice. Ben Tate type of back, would be nice to have if Foster is slumping

    RB's I don't like after the combine:

Lorenzo Taliaferro (really slow to change direction)
    James Wilder (Jonathan Wells reborn)
Charles Sims (didn't like him before, like him less after the "pass catching specialist" had small hands and dropped as many as he caught)
    Ryan Hewitt (actually a FB)

Ka'Deem Carey (not that I don't like him so much, as I don't see what makes him the best back. Seems indistinguishable from a handful of other backs that will go a round or two later.)

Watching Andre Williams try to catch passes was painful.

It's not easy to find Elite RBs but serviceable ones are a dime a dozen. Adrian Peterson is probably the only running back that is good without a good line. A good lineman can improve your running and passing game.

Our offensive line wasn't good last year (the right side anyway) and Foster did darn good. And he had a couple of good games before going completely down this year. And if you look at the super bowl teams the past few years, except for the Giants they have running backs that were drafted in the first 3 rounds.

The running back position isn't as valued but still important. And they should spend money on the offensive line instead of a draft pick IMO. But I suggested Storm Johnson and he's a guy who will probably be available late.

Check the game tape. He was the best 3rd down RB in CUSA his 3 years at UH. Not sure how WVU utilized him. But he is a great pass catching threat, regardless of the outcome of any sterilized drills.

Ka'Deem did not look good at all. I was really surprised by that. He just didn't look like himself dropping balls and being a step slow.

I like whichever RB's are undrafted free agents or 6-7th rounders. Any jabroni that costs the minimum.
